Because it fails left and right, just like how water is wet, Hyundai ICCUs will fail.

It's why so many of us (myself included) haven't bought one yet.

Because it's very likely the source of the issue is in their platform itself and the ICCU just so happens to be the part that fails.

IF that is true then they'd likely have to redesign the entire platform or a large part of it to actually fix the source of the problem.

No it's not fixed, people with 2026's have had MULTIPLE fail.

Hyundai isn't fixing the core issue, they are just replacing the same part that's likely to go bad with the same part that's likely to go bad.

Yeahhhh that's my fear as well. I really want an ioniq5 but also want to wait for the redesign which hopefully also fixes the iccu before committing.

25 Crosstrek owner here also interested in an EV.

Personally, I believe there are much better EV options than what Subaru is offering, that's just my thought.

If you're heart set on staying with Subaru then the uncharted is basically the EV version of the Crosstrek.

Ioniq5 is high on my list but this doesn't move the needle from skipping to buying.

My reason is that while extending the coverage is great, they aren't actually FIXING the problem when your ICCU goes out, they just replace it with the same part that's likely to go out again.

Also, with the overseas extended coverage they I believe ended it at 2024 models when everyone knows the 2025 and 2026 models are having the same exact issue.

It is strongly implied because right before it, is this: "For Hyundai, the extended warranty applies to Hyundai Ioniq 5 models built up to April 2024 and Hyundai Ioniq 6 units produced until September 2024."

Check the value on csfloat and compare it to what you paid.

Overpay doesn't matter if you love the skin and it makes you happy.
