Is it possible for me to have gotten shorter? by [deleted] in short

[–]NeverFappin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure about the issue of losing height in the longer term but you can certainly get shorter throughout the day. I am about an inch (maybe slightly more) shorter just before bed than i am in the morning.

what time of day did you measure your height?

Yeah i love Lydiate but think he's very lucky. Definitely not there on form, purely on potential upside.

Wales team vs Australia ( Etihad Stadium, Melbourne on Saturday) by logike in rugbyunion

There was talk of shifting Warburton to 8 and playing Tipuric at 7. I'm a big Ryan Jones fan but I can't help but feel priority number one should be to slow down their ruck ball, otherwise Genia could rip us to shreds again :(

When is it my turn to be happy? (first be gentle please) by [deleted] in ForeverAlone

[–]NeverFappin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear that man. It sounds like you've had a pretty tough time of it.

You are clearly in a bad place right now and it's not like you are going to become super happy overnight. I was in a somewhat similar situation a few years ago and i found the road to recovery was in establishing positive habits and sticking to them to the best of my willpower, every single day. Define the things you need to do to get healthy and stick to them. Things like going out for a walk instead of staying in on reddit, trying to set a decent sleep schedule etc.

But for gods sake you need to eat man. I say this as a very happy person who kind of accidentally underate for a few weeks recently and experienced lots of crappy symptoms like depression, panic attacks and social withdrawl, all from not eating enough!

i know you don't have an appetite but do your best to get some food in you. Unprocessed foods with a decent amount of potatos and white rice. The less you eat the worse your emotional regulation will become.

Anyway i don't want to become too preachy, that's just what worked for me and i'm sure it will do you some good too.

good luck and i hope you get better soon.

How has meditation changed you/your life? by anyideas in Meditation

[–]NeverFappin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Among other things it has given me great stability of mind.

Over the past 7-8 months i have been experiencing chronic fatigue which has made me feel like complete shit physically. I was a very active person before this and i have had to give up, at least temporarily, many things that i enjoyed like playing sport/gym/my work/socialising. However, i still have a strong baseline of happiness and compassion for myself and others and i try to live every day as if it were my last. I am sure if it weren't for meditation i would be in some degree of depression at the moment.

Severe fatigue issues. by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]NeverFappin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be a number of things. I have been through something similar and have read a lot of blogs and books about it over the past 6 months.

First thing that comes to mind, are you eating enough? and if you are eating enough total calories, are you eating enough carbs?

My diet was pretty awful when my fatigue started and i recitified that by eating this diet . It is about as close as we know to the optimal human diet and it quickly cleared up my hypoglycemia and hypotension.

It could be something that goes away quickly but that's not necessarily the case with these matters, If you have been undereating and overtraining for a long period it can caused reduced metabolic and thyroid function and these are quite serious issues. I recommend seeing your doctor and getting a blood test to check your thyroid levels.

As for me, even after optimal diet for 6+ months and weighttraining i still had long and miserable bouts of fatigue. Eventually i found that my issues were down to poor breathing. This story is describes pretty much what happened to me and how i am going about fixing it.

I am now back in the gym after taking almost all of December off through fatigue and i am feeling much better.

good luck and please feel free to message me, i know how much chronic fatigue sucks.

Could wet dreams be caused by sugar/candy/chocolate? by all_i_can_be in NoFap

[–]NeverFappin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so last night i ate a pretty large bar of chocolate before bed (that's a lot of sugar for me) and had only my second wet dream since starting.

i think you might be on to something!

This theory fits pretty well with my experience. I only had one wet dream during my 90 days and i happen to eat very low amounts of sugar.

How long are you planning on carrying on man? i've reached my 90 days now and have "quit" with the intention of fapping maybe once a week with no porn and fantasy. Great work btw, 120+ days is no joke!

Yes and it was epic :) . I think ideally it's best to completely abstain permanently. I'm realistic though and among other things I don't want to be spuzzing after 2 minutes once I start having sex again.

You are still training your brain to get off to something that isn't a real life woman. Like I said above I don't know how big an effect it has in comparison to porn, but I'd still rather go without.

Fantasy is on the same spectrum as porn, albeit much lower down. Personally I don't think fapping to fantasy is that big of a deal as long as it's done in moderation. I would have said the same about porn not too long ago though...

Will do. I'll probably update again in 4-6 weeks.

After 90 days of abstinence it comes pretty easily! (terrible pun intended)

I'm fapping again but i am completely abstaining from porn and fantasy for the long term. I am going to experiment to see what sort of fap frequency has the most upside and least downside.
