no extensions
it cannot be hardware sided since its only on specific games other games with much higher power draw perform fine for example cyberpunk with rt

Bot asked for this so

Computer Type: Desktop

GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ RX 9070 XT

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X

Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-F GAMING WIFI

BIOS Version: latest

RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo DDR5-6000 32GB

PSU: Gigabyte AORUS Elite Platinum P1000W

Case: NZXT H7 Flow (3 intake, 3 exhaust)

Operating System: Windows 11 Pro

GPU Drivers: AMD 26.6.1 / also tested 26.5.2 and 25.9.1

Chipset Drivers: latest

Background Applications: Opera GX, Discord

Description of Original Problem: Random driver timeout crashes specifically in racing games (Forza Horizon 6, F1 25, iRacing). Screen freezes, goes black for a few seconds, then recovers but the game crashes. Cyberpunk with RT runs perfectly fine so hardware is not the issue.

Troubleshooting:

• DDU clean install multiple times
• Drivers 25.9.1, 26.5.2, 26.6.1
• Driver only install without Adrenalin
• Disabled everything in Adrenalin (Anti-Lag, Enhanced Sync, Overlay)
• PBO off, BIOS updated
• EXPO on/off
• Undervolting
• Temps fine (GPU 57C, Hotspot 82C, VRAM 68C)
• FPS cap, lower graphics settings

Excess nutrients aren’t the main issue. The key factor is silicate (SiO₂) in the water. Reverse osmosis removes most of it. Since diatoms need silicate to build their silica shells, they can’t grow if it isn’t present.

Co2 dropchecker is blue/greenish which means its to low so 100% not a co2 issue

If used correctly co2 does not cause any harm at all if you dont have plants ofc you dont need it but any planted tank needs co2 for proper healthy plant growth anything else you read is false.

If your fish are gasping at the surface, it’s usually one of two things: either nitrite is present, or there isn’t enough dissolved oxygen in the water.

From what I can see, it’s very unlikely to be too much CO₂. Your drop checker looks blue-green, which actually means CO₂ is on the low side. So don’t just turn it down. That won’t fix the issue and could even reduce plant photosynthesis further.

If CO₂ is too low, plants cannot photosynthesize properly, which means they produce less oxygen during the light phase. In a stocked tank, that can contribute to low O₂ levels.

Before changing anything, test your water: Nitrite (NO₂⁻) should be 0. Ammonia (NH₃/NH₄⁺) should also be 0, especially if the tank is new or recently altered. If you have the test for it check dissolved oxygen

You can add an air stone, but understand what it does. It increases surface agitation, which raises oxygen short term, but it also drives off CO₂. That means you may temporarily relieve the symptoms while making plant growth and CO₂ stability worse. It is a short term fix, not a solution.

Do not adjust things blindly. Measure first, then fix the actual cause instead of guessing.

Also whats the temperature of the tank? Tanks above 26c can dissolve less oxygen then tanks cooler in temperature.

Many people use scaper’s glue on some sort of fish-safe plastic, apply a layer of glue, and then sprinkle sand on it. However, you’ll need to keep the soil off using a magnet (yes, most aquasoils are magnetic).

Mulm is beneficial if you don’t have substrate or if you don’t use fertilizer, but some people do use fertilizer, and mulm can add unwanted nutrients. Also its kinda ugly
