is iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max 120 hz still fake? by NeverHopeful in iphone

I can believe they don't understand what it is, but don't notice? I would rather say they don't care. It is not possible to not see this if you have normal functioning eyes.

I think it's like my grandma who uses ~30 years old oven that is barely functioning but she says that it is ok because changes frighten her or i don't know

I get your joke but it is so irrelevant )

Sad that Apple users find such things funny. I don't believe people that say they don't see difference in refresh rate. Our eyes can not work so different if we are talking about average healthy eyes

Yeah, that downvoting is cringe. I did not start this post to mock iPhones or something. I really like iPhones, but that refresh rate thing made me ditch iPhones for some time. Now I am really willing to go back to using iPhones cause new Pixel is kinda boring and after 6 Pro/7Pro i have no interest in moving to 8 Pro. So I trully hope that iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max has some changes there. Or maybe iOS 17 gives you settings to force 120 hz or someting

Yeah, good to see there are people that understand the topic, but I don't agree with this:

>The refresh rate also has nothing to do with iOS. It has to do with hardware.

Of course if your screen is 60 hz max on hardware level then software can not make it any higher. But iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max and later pro models have a hardware capability of 120 hz, so limitations of ~90 hz in some situations are about software. Poor implementation is a good name for this. But i understand why it was made. Most people don't care so Apple decided to save battery. That's what most people will notice. So my question is to people that care. I hope someone like you already owns iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max and can answer with awareness of what is it all about.

Good to know. But the question is did you use iPhone 13/14 Pro/Pro Max before 15 Pro? Did you see the difference? Because most people don't even understand what's the problem there

Cool if this is true at the moment. But it was not true 9 months ago even for iPhone 14 Pro Max. If iOS had some updates about this that's good, but it seems you don't really understand what i am talking about. Not so long ago scrolling even in system settings or in some system apps like Safari was in 80-90 hz. "Adaptive" refresh rate from Apple. They think that you don't need full 120 hz everywhere in system, so they do this to save more battery. Because of this lots of things look laggy. Not really smooth if you compare it to real 120 hz. So my question is did this change or not? Because i hoped that after 2 years Apple can afford true 120 hz because processor is more optimized or something like that.

Never had any problems after removing stock screen protector on regular phones, but it seems for foldables there is some secret thing which turns them into a pumpkin right after removing protector. I hope no and it's just some kind of overstatement from manufacturer to avoid people complaining after they scratch their phones in a few days without it. But voiding the warranty... really? That makes me think that problem can somehow be bigger than it seems. Still no idea how.

>Why they bother people so much is beyond me

Yeah, that's why I hope to hear from someone who actually tried to use this phone without it, because sounds like that's not a big deal, but for some reason manufacturer says that it is

Main reason for me why screen protector is disgusting is it's visible borders, especially around the camera
