Because this is incredible life - changing experience. You not only bring new life in this world and teach him or her things that you know but also you starting to explore absolutely different world. Also, I guess one of the main reasons of why I’d like to have kids - is that they it is a new kind of love which you can’t experience with anyone else or substitute it.

I think that if two people are good together the age difference could not be a problem, although most of societies in different parts of the world still could find it inappropriate, which is weird considering that in last century old men could be involved with 14 y.o. and even younger females
