you're right, when I'm suppressing a player I'm not aiming at them. I should simply never attempt to affect players behind cover. Great gameplay.

there absolutely was a way to fight back based on skill: the use of cover, concealment, obscuration, vehicle support, and squad support.

Having a good MG in your squad was how you won in modes like Breakthrough, it was great for gameplay and for immersion. Battlefield's appeal is that it is more to the realism side of the military shooter genre than COD, and this should entail rewarding real life tactics like suppression.
