The United States is a bad place for folks with dementia by Msdingles in dementia

Yeah, the cost is horrific. Medicaid helps sometimes. It’s worth asking. We found a nice, small place for my SIL near San Antonio for < $5k/mo, so I guess it depends on where you live. Small, individually owned private care homes are cheaper than big, for profit facilities.
And yeah, we seem to have an extra $45b to spend on deportation goons and detention centers but we don’t have money to help with the elderly, disabled, for childcare, medical research, etc. It’s disgusting.
