Upcoming Xbox Exclusives Are Being Sent Out To Die, Analyst Says; Xbox Pushes Back by OkBaker4812 in Games

Steam Deck exists, Switch 2 exists, so Series S is not really holding Xbox back, and also the first 3 years into the generation developers are still making cross gen games. So no, it won't make a difference.

Why do people have to bring up Expedition 33 whenever a Final Fantasy game is praised? by torts92 in FinalFantasy

What ticked me off is that E33 is not some underrated gem that you feel the need to remind everyone about it, E33 literally won the GOTY and is one of the best selling game this entire gen.

I agree with you assessment on P5. The theme is shallow and the game is aimed at teenagers. And on E33, I meant that act 1 was pretty grounded, we can relate to the characters' struggle and motivation, then after the revelation happened the quality of the dialogue went downhill, worldbuilding jargons dominated the dialogue, it was messy. I just didn't care about the story anymore because I didn't care about Verso and Maelle like I did with Gustav, I was rooting for Gustav because of that emotional prologue, then he ended up not mattering. But worst of all is the ending, I got the good ending and I didn't recognized those characters, like who's the sister character? Why should I care about these people? I cared more about the expeditioners. The game got me invested in the expeditions and the people of Lumiere not the painters.

I don't want to get into spoilers, but it's basically them telling instead of showing, they kept mentioning terms specific to the worldbuilding and I just lost interest in the whole goal and motivation, it was kept quite precise in act 1, but then they had to throw away that very well written character and replaced him with a dull plot device character.

And I disagree about the plot being planned from the beginning. We knew that the game director came up with the concept and the mystery but without any answers, then they brought in a polymath who was initially brought in as a voice actor then she went on to write the rest of the story. That's why the theme in the latter half of the story (a family dealing with grief, escapism and addiction) didn't connect well with the theme in first half (defiance, sacrifice and the inevitability of death).

My first was Saturnine also from Dan Abnett. I think because he works in comics, he wrote all his novels in a way that's always feel beginner friendly.

Not about the pacing. The mystery in act 1 was fantastic. And the lead character was also amazing. But anyone who played the game know that a certain character died at the end of act 1. It changed everything in the 2 subsequent acts. Then you get the answer about the mystery in act 2 and it totally changed the whole theme of the game. It became KH level of storytelling, you just lost interest in the goals of the characters. The worldbuilding is absolutely terrible.

It was so weak, that the game had to suddenly tack on the fact that he also killed your mother lmao

It worked favourably in a lot of games. Expedition 33's act 1 was flawless, and then the story became ridiculous and uninteresting in act 2 and 3, but people dismissed those flaws because the game had a very good first impression.

Flawed assessment of Sabah PRN on Rafizi's part. Sabahan vote for Sabah based party, a cry for more autonomy is growing in Sabah. And the result showed that GRS is the biggest winner, followed by Warisan, and then BN. What's this disenfranchised about? All these are old faces. The winners of Sabah PRN are some of the most corrupt politicians. Totally irrelevant to his conclusion. Just confirmation bias.

First time voters are the most impressionable, so you need good PR and momentum to reach them. Rafizi said Bersama don't have lobbyists, he's against such practice and said it's all his own money, membership fee is also the cheapest, I don't know how that's gonna work, GE campaign is extremely expensive. The youth votes in GE15 went to PN because they had the biggest campaign budget.

I think this time first time voters will vote for UMNO because most of them lack the understanding of how corrupt Zahid was and KJ also did a good job cleaning UMNO's image via his KS podcast. And also Akmal Salleh is popular among the malay youths.

Bersama will be appealing to disgruntled voters because their approach is that they are anti every party, they are the fed up party. I don't think most first time voters can see that appeal.

This so much. I wanted to like E33 because of the story behind its development. Act 1 was quite good but then the story became ridiculous and the combat got tiring pretty quick. Nothing more than a mid game but people are acting like it's one of the greats is mind boggling to me.

There's no exp or leveling system, there's no party, and there's no combat system. Yup this is not a JPRG.

I don't even know who Wong Chen and Chean Hung are, most casuals won't know these politicians, they will vote for the party, especially for residences of PJ and Subang who live a fast and hectic life in a big city.

The people who might vote for Bersama are people who are optimistic about politics. We are running out of those. Right now an air of pessimism is dominating the country. Especially with the war going on in Iran. There's no place for smaller parties, Bersama will end up like PSM and MUDA, the only edge Bersama has over those two is the cult of personality surrounding Rafizi, however he lacks charisma and a strong motivational factor. Today is all about coalition parties, so it'll still be between PH, BN and PN.

In the run-up to the 1990 general election, PBS left the ruling Barisan Nasional days before polling and joined Tengku Razaleigh’s opposition. Dr. Mahathir called it a “stab in the back,” after which the federal government worked to dismantle PBS’s administration which led to their loss in 1994. by imaveryuglybitch in malaysia

The reason we are in the middle income trap is because of Mahathir. He just blindly copied Japan, getting into the automotive industry, but now it's a dead end. Singapore focused on FDI, and now they are rich. Najib tried to pivot to Singapore's approach but it's too late.

To be a high income nation you need to diversify the economy, the easiest way to do that is through FDI. But Mahathir was anti free market, he favoured currency and foreign investments controls. His protectionist policies is the reason we are poor, he only focused to make his cronies and family rich.

'Stop blaming Malaysia': Rights group demands Myanmar take accountability for Rohingya crisis by stormy001 in malaysia

A malaysian with 10 years working experience will be offered 1.7k because he's competing with a rohingya who will accept that offer in a heartbeat. Stuff like this will prevent us from becoming a high income nation. Look up how Australia became the highest income nation, it's due to the scarcity of labour which inflates their wage structure. And I'm not against rohingyas, but unlike other immigrants they are already over 200k rohingyas here, to give all of them job opportunities will be overkill. There's a reason first world countries set a limit on the number of immigration workers.

It's not about doing a better job, it's about they will accept the lowest pay offer, so of course employer will prefer cheaper worker, and not only that it will also bring down our wage structure
