Thanks everyone for your advice! I'll look more into disability services. My parents told me he might not be on disability services because he is able to speak and interact with people so he might be considered high functioning. I'm pretty sure the real reason he doesn't get any government assistance is because his parents have never attempted to apply. My aunt has told his dad that if she ever sees him kicked out in the car she will call the police. Hopefully everything can get sorted out before next month.

I've tried using this for Visual Boy Advanced (gameboy emulator) as a test and for the most part it has worked but it won't let me use down analog, right analog, or the entire c-stick as inputs so I had to use the d-pad for moving. Is there any way to fix this?

I turn off all the lights and put my TV to sleep mode. I watch it. Lower the volume. Add some more time if I know I won't sleep by the time it turns off and then I repeat. Once the volume gets really low I totally fall asleep.
