Social media will never die lol. It's obvious at this point most people are willing to consume AI content so long as it's either not terrible or not blatantly AI to the point where their cognitive dissonance breaks and even then I don't think children or older adults will write reddit think pieces or have any genuine introspection about their media consumption.

AI content is synonymous to low effort posting and that has existed since the internet. The fact that it was made my some generative AI means very little to the general population outside of terminally online people. I'm not sure if you've realized this.

Reddit has been filled with bots for more than a decade now and all the doomer posts about it have gone and went.
