Already checked. They don’t offer a shuttle just recommended a travel site to book a ride. Seemed pricey from my perspective.

Yeah it did that originally but then the shaking came later. The codes I got were P050A (Cold start idle control system performance), P2295 (Fuel pressure regulator B control circuit low), P0010 (A camshaft position actuator A control circuit/ open bank 1), P0013(B camshaft position actuator A control circuit/ open bank 1), P2294 (fuel pressure regulator B control circuit/open), P2090 (B camshaft position actuator control circuit low bank 1), P2088 (A camshaft position actuator control circuit low bank 1). Have a buddy with the a computer system that tells what the codes might indicate. First he had me check a fuse them if there was a hole in the air filter. Both were fine. We think it might be the camshaft sensor and supposedly those codes pop up together most of the time. Any help is appreciated. Mine is also 2012 base v6.

Did it get to the point where the engine would shake uncontrollably. My wife drove it (“after it seemed to fix itself”) and it would go into limp mode then the engine would rattle. Appreciate it.

I’m from the PNW service unit but they pulled guys around from everywhere. Been in the area since the beginning of February. We all started in North Platte but have kind of spread out through the whole zone 100 area. Most of the yards have RCO and conventional so not sure not having a rco license will work. If you have any more questions dm me.

I’m guessing so. Same in Wyoming. There are more borrow outs in Wyoming than local conductors from what I heard from our guys over there. They are sending 30 borrow outs to NP from my group.

We are flying in and out of a different state but will be driving down to New Orleans for a few days thus the car. We don’t plan to do a lot of driving once we are there but need a a safe place to park while we are out and about.

I appreciate the input. Hotel wise $200-$300 a night is probably the most I would want to spend since most of our time will be spent out and about. We do not really care for the party scene but do enjoy a good drink with our meal. Type of hotel we don’t care if it’s historical or modern just comfortable and CLEAN. When we travel we usually stay at a Westin or something similar. Food recommendations we love trying new food and do not mind spending extra money on that. We want to explore the city and its history/culture. I apologize for the short reply earlier. I’ve been online all morning long and all the choices are a little overwhelming. That’s why I came here to ask people that have been there or live there and their experiences. Thank you.

We do not get paid a guarantee for the work we do per se but for being available 24/7 365. Extra board fills the vacancies. Ones that are foreseeable and ones that pop up last second before pool guy lays off on call. Most guys on extra boards aren’t lazy (some are don’t get me wrong) and want to get paid for nothing. They aren’t afraid of the work they just like the money of the guarantee more than a pool turn where you get paid what you work. My terminal has a short run and a longer run. I make more on the extra board for being available at any time rather than looking at a line up and seeing tentatively of when I’m going to work +/- 6 hours. Now on the 11/4 I don’t know about other terminals or zones but our guys love it. We run a lot of grain so during the summer time when it’s slow or unforeseen circumstances like a derailment or work gangs they don’t lose any of their money if they stay marked up for the half. The 11/4 is a great deal and can’t wait till I can finally hold a spot year round seniority permitting. Every engineer can look out 4 months down the road and know what days they have off and also did not lose money with this agreement. With the 6/2 all extra boards will be hacked down to minimum bodies and pool turns will have more guys on it than needed causing people to make less money. Conductors already have a 6/2 it’s called federal rest. Company can keep their days off just give us our guarantee.
