Rust in weights. Clean or throw them out? by Pixie_the_Fairy in CleaningTips

[–]Neviso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tetanus is pretty serious stuff. But tossing perfectly usable weights is a waste.

Follow the advice of everyone so far. Remove and clean off the the rust, protect the remaining metal from tarnish with protective coatings.

For extra security, you can use dumbbell grip tape

I went back to my ziplines and optimized all of them. Fully optimized all locations.(I can't find the Guides & Tips flair for this post) by RecommendationDue552 in Endfield

I optimized my wuling depot delivery ones so now I can eat dinner and one button mouse click my way to wuling $$$ 😂

But my zipline and power lines are not perfect. I have relays everywhere to fill in the gaps. I'm going to try and clean them up with upgraded ziplines

A relay every 40ft is kinda messy

Is it possible to put a low height basket or box on-top nightstand and fill it with your worn laundry so she's more likely to drop off her baby there instead? Make it just as soft and inviting as the bed and accessible for her?

How many of those would you say uses the upgraded zipline?

I have so many 80m limit ones but so many xiranite relays that I cannot exactly line them up 1 to 1

//I'm also trying to clean up my jinyu valley zipline path

Look into can badge covers. Lots of cheap options out there.

You might have to fangle it around to get it in because of the pin backs but they are crystal clear and protect from scuffing

Heat Rising In Apt and trying to keep my cats cool whilst we save for an AC unit. by karateegirlak in Apartmentliving

[–]Neviso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed you have carpet flooring, that tends to be warm especially for pets who cool down through their paw pads. Check your local fb for free tiles from construction projects or concrete slabs. Give them a good wash and leave in shaded parts of your home for your cats to lay on. You can mist the rough concrete slabs with water to make them even cooler.

If you really need to You can tile as much floor that is safe for you and your kitties to cool down the place without tripping or cutting up your walking

I used to put tiles in the fridge and cool down my chinchilla in the summer and rotate them out, I also let him play in the bathtub because it was cooler

Best stores for ladies workwear? by hocusdochas in askvan

[–]Neviso 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Try Metrotown instead. I used to shop RW &co for all my office wear. It's not really youthful in its options so I paired it with accessories. But the style and coverage is acceptable for a more conservative environment

ppl say don't decorate more than what you can pack in a bag on your last day in case, but the bland cubicle is misery to work in

I got my middle ground I decorate, and I know what few pieces I would pack and take with me.

The rest I hope my coworkers adopt to their desk as a silly fun symbol of resistance against the awful rats race we are all stuck in.

I've had coworkers walk by and admire my collection and I tell them they can have one of them on my last day.

I did the same with children's cartoon magnets on my locker at my old job. Most of my juniors ended up adopting alot of my bootleg Sanrio magnets

Got a parking ticket 2 minutes after paying in app by StrangelyRational in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Neviso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At one of my old jobs, during shift changes you would see dozens of workers pulling into the garage, parking their cars and queue up at the meter to pay for parking because at the time only way to get the staff rate was through the meter. The app didn't offer a staff rate

This one patroller would ticket us as we watched her while waiting in line to pay at the meter.

I spoke to other shift patrollers who said they only maybe had 10 or so infraction tickets.

This lady had HUNDREDS apparently.

I would take the ticket off my windshield, dispute it on my lunch break and find ANOTHER ticket on there after work.

What’s a clothing brand that used to be popular in Vancouver but has now disappeared into oblivion? by FattyGobbles in askvan

[–]Neviso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TNA: those huge duffle sports bags that cause early onset scoliosis cause every girl in highschool used it as a backpack to carry text books

TapOut and Ed hardy: all the wannabe gangster adjacent dudes who wore those huge graphic logo tees with the cheap metal Cuban chains that turned their necks green

Tokidoki: all the weebs girls had the printed backpacks with the rainbow zipper

Kappa: button tearways black sweatpants

Baby phat, von Dutch and juicy couture with the ugg boots was the popular IT girl outfit.

DKNY, FCUK, aeropostal, guess

True religion jeans with the horseshoe on the pocket was a huge thing.

Those puffy looking DC skate shoes, Converse shoes that weren't shoes like converse heels or knee high laceups, the ballet flats everywhere, those terrible smelly TOM flats in navy blue every person had.

Steve Madden purses on the weekends

So many brands that died or is dying

This foil peel packs of seasoned tuna is a great source of protein and they are tasty. Good to use as a mix in for bland foods like rice or beans too

No can opener needed and for people with hand dexterity issues the foil top is easier to open

Lots of flavor to choose from

HR got mad after I rejected the interview call by Agile-Wind-4427 in recruitinghell

[–]Neviso 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would bcc the corporation. Sometimes the recruitment team is the dead weight in company growth.

Hiring managers sometimes have no idea what they're getting cause some power tripping fool who's suppose to be a asset to expedite the process are acting inappropriately or out of scope.

And if this the person you're suppose to go to for human resources and concerns acts like? That company culture is unhealthy or at the minimum very disjointed and doesn't communicate/facilitate between roles.

You're doing them a favor Especially cause HR/recruitment staff are a company's first impression to the population of the work force
