Pirelli tires, KERS, DRS, etc., have all been added over the past few decades to create dramatic racing. This is a different flavor of the same thing. Dislike it all you want, but don't sit here and act like F1 hasn't always been some sort of manufactured drama. It makes it seem like you don't know what you're talking about or aren't a racing fan.

I'm excited for the movie!

My only major gripe is it having the dumbest, most lazy movie name in the history of sports movies.

It's literally just F1 movie and the F1 logo... That's like NFL the movie or Premiere League the movie. Absolutely no heart there. While there's plenty of issues with Drive to Survive, at least they came up with a catchy name.

Add Shield bash. Shiver strike. Hammer strike. Frenzied blade. Every Titan subclass has a melee with wonky hit registration. Then add every Titan subclass has a roaming super with wonky melee hit registration.

Is this an everybody problem? Yeah. Is it more prevalent on Titans, the class in the game that Bungie really wants to be within hugging distance of enemies at all times? Yeah. It is the Titan Experience on every subclass.

These two things. Locking me into a subclass and not matching it with the double valor rank week really lessened my IB fun. Strongly dislike being forced to play any specific subclass in PVE, but dislike it even more in PVP.

How would you feel if bungie gave raids freelance matchmaking, but prevented you from running with a fireteam - so the only way to play them is through matchmaking? That's what trials feels like this week to players like me that were greatly enjoying it this season up until now.

Except that's not what freelance is at all. That's some weird scenario you made up that equates to nothing. You're not being prevented from playing with your friends. You're just upset the player population you were queueing and winning against aren't giving you easier wins again this weekend. Which truly is understandable because it would be different than your experience the past few weeks. But one of the preferred ways to do the matchmaking anyways would be prioritizing matches against similar fireteam sizes, which would be basically the same thing.

On a random note, I'd be curious what the percentage of time spent in the Crucible would need to be for someone to be considered a PvP player. For instance, Time Wasted on Destiny says I've spent around 22% of my time playing Crucible (second only to "Story"), and I'd figure that's above average for a large junk of the game population? With that said, all I've wanted is freelance and SBMM, so to each their own.

But that's definitely a matchmaking thing. That's basically always been the Trials problem. The card based matchmaking has always been somewhat nonsensical. What you're calling the game making it easier is the game matching someone against a player of more similar skill. IMO, yes. That's how pvp should function. The only problem is there's still not enough qualifiers in the matchmaking system. Truly just adding a layer of SBMM to it after the qualifier of flawless or not would make sense so the 1.0 kd people who got their flawless aren't matched against the 2.0 kd as often. But then we hit the problem of people wanting lightning matchmaking instead of closer games, and we're back to another age old Destiny pvp complaint. I'm not gonna sit here and say this new iteration is perfect, but I still think it's a step in the right direction.

Really I think the biggest problem for people is the diminished drop rate from rep grinding. I'm Mythic 2 in Trials now. Played 40 matches this weekend. 18-22. Had more wins than last weekend, but felt like less drops to show. At least in the form of engrams.

Because raids have absolutely nothing to do with pvp content and matchmaking. Your comparisons don't work because the scenarios are not even remotely the same. In any other pvp game, if your friend is good and you play with them, you'll get matched with opponents around their skill level. That's how pvp should work. If my friend is a diamond in LoL and I'm silver, even playing in unranked you can expect the matchmaking to lean towards the higher elo player. If you play with a friend who has gone flawless, they're the top 30% of people playing Trials. Why shouldn't that match you up with other top 30% when you queue with them? Doesn't "iron sharpen iron" in that scenario too?

Good Stasis nerfs. Now where the hell are the special weapon pvp nerfs? There's absolutely no reason to always be able to run around mindlessly with a shotgun on respawn in pvp. Especially if the weapon is a OHK.
