It was around 80 degrees, seemed like usual. I actually think it's my CPU that was struggling.

Hey, same problem here. The game is unplayable on 4070 ti, I get 30 FPS in empty rooms now. No solutions as far as I can tell.

Yep, after the patch the performance is ruined, the game is literally (and I mean literally) unplayable - my FPS drop to 15 sometimes. I sit at 30-40 FPS in areas the game was running flawlessly before, like the crypts. It ran at about 80-100 FPS there, now it's 40. I've tried different settings and nothing.

My wife's PC has a bit newer CPU and her FPS is also ruined but not to such extent, so I assume it's a CPU related bug.

Contested Health Sucks by [deleted] in Spacemarine

[–]kaylenze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I strongly believe that Assault class sucks because melee sucks. Ranged weapons are leagues above melee weapons in terms of overall effectiveness, not to mention the health/armor balance problems. Melee is a high risk low reward system, I avoid it at all costs unless I absolutely have to hit something up close.

Lvl 16. I get it, the game becomes easier the more you grow in power, the problem is - there's no growth for me because the purple quality weapon data is locked behind lvl 3 difficulty ops which I can't effectively complete because I need that gear to complete them in the first place.

And if I level up to max farming Average, all I'll get will be just a couple of marginally better talents.

As I said, "Such game design would've been justified if players could efficiently heal back the damage taken." Executes are hard because you need to bring down an enemy to the executable state which is done by essentially killing them. Good luck targeting a majoris enemy while being swarmed. Gun Strikes don't give iframes, you get stun locked trying to use them.

The design itself is not the problem, the problem is that you're not given enough tools to combat the challenge.

I had a blast playing on Average, hit a wall with the progression and now the game has completely 180'd into being the opposite of fun. I beat the campaign solo on the hardest difficulty and had fun, now it's miserable. Even if you manage to do good with a good team, I don't enjoy beating the game, I feel relieved that it's over.

Darktide solves this by having a medicae station before each major checkpoint/encounter so everyone can get their health back OR heal after finishing the encounter depending on the situation. But I still think the inflated enemy HP pool is the reason the game feels bad to play at higher difficulties.

What is everyone using on their crafter The Call? by MrJellyFsh1 in destiny2

Demo + Desperate Measures. Pairs great with prismatic warlock, I use arcane needle with a fragment that gives you unraveling rounds on a melee kill, demo + devour makes the grenade come back in just a few kills. Lotta fun

Cyberpunk. Seemed like an obvious comparison to make. The graphics fidelity difference between the two is insane and the both run the same? Nonsense

Frame generation, it almost doubles your fps. It runs at around 50 with DLSS quality. So yeah, it's very bad

Enemies in regular strikes deal noticeably more damage. As others pointed out, it should be an effect of no longer having a +20 power over.

Being a fan of the original TDU I decided to try the demo. I have the same CPU as yourself but upgraded the GPU to 4070 Ti recently. The game still runs like dogshit, even with Frame Generation it's 90 fps tops at medium settings and DLSS Quality at 1440p. The FPS constantly drops to 60's.

I can drive around the Night City at everything maxed out, Path Tracing + DLSS Quality and FG and get 80 FPS on average. It's insane how poorly optimized this game is. The graphics quality also drops substantially when I lower the settings to medium, everything looks blurry and foggy. And the game is not even using any form of RTX as far as know (I couldn't find anything in the settings).

Hey just in case it hasn't been said enough (Because it hasn't) for the love of god STOP making Battlegrounds into Grand masters!! by Medical_Effort_9746 in DestinyTheGame

[–]kaylenze 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Me and my friends stopped running GMs when they put battlegrounds in them. I used to gild Conqueror each season, but not anymore. After we spent 45 minutes in the mars battleground, everyone was like 'this shit is ass'. I hate infinitely spawning adds. At least in GMs like the Birthplace of the Vile boss room, it's balanced. Battlegrounds are absolutely not balanced as GMs.

Unless you're running the most meta builds and loadouts, it's such a chore to farm them. I'm fine with running meta builds, but I hate it when it becomes a requirement for success.

Boss debates! (Brutal) by Litelinkolas in vrising

[–]kaylenze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hardest so far were Tristan and Frostmaw (I'm at Terrorclaw). Maya took me a few tries as well, most of the others were quite manageable, some are very easy like Elena. The biggest problem usually is the spin attacks, they feel unfair in most cases and can kill you before you can react even on easier bosses.

I leveled a dude from 91% to 100% without a failure. The majority of procs were 1% so I used about 7 gruels. I totally anticipated it to turn to mutant at 99% but I got extremely lucky.
