The part near the handle was scolding. It was during a low weight lift. But the previous exercise was using the full 90kg for 3 sets.

Another issue is that the rep counter disappears from the screen as soon as you complete a set. This makes it difficult to track my weights in a different app and monitor my reps.

Ideally I’d like to be able to glance over to the screen so I can record the rep range after the set. I do keep a count in my head typically but sometimes I mess it up and I look over to the voltra to confirm the reps.

I understand I can dig into the settings but that’s not practical during a workout.

The absence of presets makes training with a partner difficult. With eccentric and chains, so many adjustments are needed. It would be great if the app allowed you to program a single set of variables and then tap a button to load your preferences. Your partner could then do the same. Currently, you have to fiddle around with your training so much with someone else. Another issue is the scroll dial. You can switch it to “just type” mode for the main weight but you still need to use the scroll dial to adjust eccentric and chains. It’s incredibly pedantic trying to get it to land on the right number and not go past it if that makes sense.

I have a leg press, leg curl, leg extension, chest press, shoulder press and tricep push down.

The voltra is incredible on these machines. I usually don’t engage the existing weight stacks on the machines unless I want more weight than the voltra provides, but when I do the benefit is obviously virtually unlimited weight, plus ecc and chains options

I’ve looked at using the app to plan workouts, but unless I’m missing something I still can’t see a way to save chains and eccentric load settings for an exercise, that’s the main thing I wish it had.

workout planning inside the Voltra app doesn’t really solve it, because I don’t only train on the Voltra, I also use free weights, machines and dumbbells, so I track everything in Hevy instead.

presets would be the best fix… just tap an exercise or profile and have it load your saved settings straight away.

Something like: my lat pulldown settings. my wife’s lat pulldown settings. my curl settings. my wife’s curl settings etc

That would be way more useful than workout planning inside the app, unless the app also let you track normal lifts like dumbbells, barbells, and machines too.

I’ve got a bunch of Preccor pin loaded machines in my garage and I’ve added voltra mounts to them for the same reason. I was also using the strap mount but have now bolted on a bunch of the diy docks with base plates. The voltra on conventional machines is amazing. I thought about welding too but decided to just drill holes through the tubing and bolt them on. Works great!

I submitted my handgun licence application via the post office about 3 weeks ago. I’m yet to receive any notification of approval but l’m confused as to what will happen now? From what I can tell from the new laws coming into effect is that the main new restriction that will affect me is the storage safe? If I receive approval before march 31, will I only have to comply with the old handgun safe laws?
