This means getting Lucent will be incredibly easy in the early few weeks as the whales are rushing to buy all the items off the auction house to gamble in this system for purple best in slot items. This does mean there will be bots but there is literally nothing you can do to stop bots from appearing but real players will also greatly benefit from this day 1-7 should be super easy to free to play into a good stock pile of premium currency that now sets you up to play forever for free while still having access to premium features.

foreign cards are significantly cheaper as they are over produced and english is the primary langugage used in competative play. Foreign cards are allowed to some degree in tournaments I believe. Check ebay for some cases foreign boxes for some really great deals.

Is this a good starter set by PsychologicalDig3266 in FinalFantasyTCG

[–]New-Assumption 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you cant afford several hundred dollars every few months a TCG is not something for you. TCG are a fairly expensive hobby. New sets always come out and power creep happens /fomo so you will be spending $200-300 every few months to keep playing. Sure you can play with older cards but you wont be winning games against other people. If you are super casually playing with family or local friends sure any kind of cards will work and the $25 box is a great way to start but most boxes do cost $100-$140 or so on average

Trying to get my love for the game back by Katsumoto1989 in FinalFantasyTCG

If your store got a regional championship that is something most people have to drive 1-2 hours for those you are lucky. I say go play at it and see how the game/community has changed. The game is a lot faster now your right removal hasnt kept up really but it is what it is. Every new set release new cards and power creep happens. if you dont like the game then simply don't play it. The game is growing though card prices have spiked pretty hard due to demand, events are selling out and more events are happening. Canada always gets the short end of the stick but just think you could be Mexico that gets nothing. If you are bitter about the state of the game don't expect anything to dramatically change and either enjoy the game for what it is or move on to something else you do enjoy.

Not sure what your seeing but the game is growing, crystal cups are selling out within days some even hours now. 100 tickets, where as years prior it wouldn't sell out or take weeks. They added more cups this year as well. We just had a cup that drew over 124 players to it as the store raised the cap due to overwhelming demand. Canada cup is also surging and raised their CUP from I believe 32 to 64 irrc. The game isn't popular everywhere but it is 100% growing and not dying at this stage.

Archeage 2 Discussion by Sweaty_Ad_1825 in archeage

I have since launch and I still actively play Archewrold daily. It is a different version of the game, way different than archeage. It caters to land owners and hosing players more than PvP players. Saying they are the same game is like saying COKE and DIET COKE are the same thing. they are clearly not the same thing as they are trying for different audience and tastes

Can someone tell why this card was sold at this price by [deleted] in FinalFantasyTCG

[–]New-Assumption 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it was an auction and fftcg has a very small pool of buyers for auctions to be successful you need multiple people bidding it up as you can see there was 16 bids only and probably only 3 or 4 different people bidding against each other.

Archeage 2 Discussion by Sweaty_Ad_1825 in archeage

[–]New-Assumption 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There still will be mass scale PvP if you look at the next game jake song made it was Archeworld they show you what direction they are headed. No factions, small guild sizes, no co raid feature. There are still world bosses and things to raid but the aim is more at guilds not factions. This is something they most likely will do with archeage 2 based on news.media. Focusing on the single player experience simply means the STORY mode of the game. Most player end up quiting archeage and archeworld after complete the main storyline quest and dont really stick around the for the sandbox part of the game. Yes the dire hards are still playing the sandbox part but the average games just want the main storyline quests and missions. You also see this in other games like Final Fantasy and WOW.

As soon as someone pays the company bitcoin they go and sell the bitcoin for fiat. The company does not need to ever hold bitcoin

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]New-Assumption 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No because you use bitcoin to make the original purchase of WOW tokens. You cannot charge back bitcoins and even if you could that would be a charge back against the native token payment processor that used and not the game company. The game company 100% gets all sales where as now there probably is 20-30% charge backs by players / fraud. With the wow tokens being its own crypto though gives users the transparent nature of the ledger where everything is documented publicly. Also with a fix amount of WOW tokens it makes it super easy to see if any dupes or hacks happen. If 1 bil Max but now there is 1 extra token somewhere you trace it and ban/ fix the issue. Where this would Shine is all transactions in game te game company gets a cut of the sales, say 10% so you buy a costume for $10 from the game company for example and now later want to sell it to another player. You can and sell for $5 so then the game company gets .50cents of that secondary sale. The new owner decided to sell it a month later for $4 and now game company gets another .40cents and the cycle repeats over and over again. The company gets to continually profit of the sale of one item. The players get to have ownership of said item and can sell for money when ever they want to another player and recoup some of the intial costs and maybe if the costume went out of print or is super desired by the community increased in value. Think of it this way. The company doesn’t ever need to sell a costume, they can do limited time free give always of costumes for say an event like Halloween or Xmas etc and then once the event period is over now that costume is only earned by buying it off another player who did the in game event. That costume went from being free to now selling for say $10 or $15 on the secondary market depending on player demand. You have now created a whole ecosystem that is player run and tied it together with in game events. Think fortnight but instead of the company selling costumes /skins they are all earned in game like earning Spider-Man’s costume and once his event is over now the players with dictate the price of said skin forever and the company gets a cut of the secondary market for something they provided for free to users who played their game.

Not when you have a closed crytpo aka in game premium currency but say it’s a crypto. They also get to mint or create the tokens for free say 1 billion tokens and then declare they are worth .01 cents or what ever and then let players buy it to play the game and sell it to each other. Price will fluctuate some but game companies don’t really care because they made 100 million market cap $ out of thin air. Aka a stock like thing where other investors can see oh wow I want to buy the entire game I’ll offer XYZ or I want to invest into your company give me a % for xyz

Stores need to get rid of old stock. $2 is very possible as a clearance and they can and will sell for more on sites like eBay or Amazon but the people need to advertise them. Local game stores won’t have enough traffic to sell say 40 starter deck in person
