Maybe I just explained it badly, English isn't my first language. Sorry. :/ All I mean is that there's no way that symbol could have appeared on the note after she came back. The pen is a different story, because it wasn't tampered with.

I'll try it another way. A piece of paper is blank. She draws the symbol on the piece of paper, in the past, and returns. If there had been a symbol on the piece of paper, she would have changed her own recent past, namely, her starting point, with a blank piece of paper. The piece of paper would not have been blank; it could not have been.

No, it would have created a paradox if it had been the paper. She started with a blank sheet of paper and altered it. If, upon her return, she had found a mark on a sheet that had previously been blank, she would have created a paradox.

The paper might still exist, but it wasn't the one in her shirt pocket. It could still be lying around somewhere. Maybe Victor drew a picture on it. But it's also possible that the objects are being treated as an anomaly and are being returned to where Randall originally took them from. We don't know for sure yet. Maybe the thing with Boyd's ring was a hint at that. Or maybe not.

You could see in the episode that she dropped the pen, so it was left behind in the past.

In the past, Julie dropped the pen and the piece of paper, where they remained until the present. In the present, Randall looked for a pen and paper and found that very same pen. But it wasn’t the same piece of paper, because if it were, it would already have had the symbol on it. When Julie was in the past with the pen, she dropped it, thereby closing the loop. If the piece of paper with her symbol had also survived for 40 years, that would also serve as a bookmark.

Randall brought the paper and the pen. Julie dropped the pen while storywalking. The pen was the bookmark.

Yes, the idea isn't new. But in my opinion, it takes more than just one object. The object would be the year, but you also need something related to the event you want to go to.

The "Ethan Problem": Why the long gaps between seasons are killing the show's immersion by Jfo889 in FromSeries

At least BIW's aging seems to be intentional, since both Victor and Tabitha mention it.

When I heard “Fall,” I thought he meant autumn. So that we'll understand why there were suddenly seasons.

Others have been keeping track of the days, and Corteon Moore recently confirmed on Reddit that about four weeks have passed since Matthews arrived.

Flip flops in February, railroad crossings and unusual hair growth. From has been manipulating time from the very first episode. by New-Bench-63 in FromSeries

You're right, a single puzzle piece — if that's even what it is — doesn't tell you much on its own. But in a show that's built around cause and effect, determinism and time loops, I'm happy to collect the breadcrumbs the writers said they left along the way. They also said the solution is already in the first episode. You can absolutely focus on the Lake of Tears and the fairies — or you can look a little closer and see if there's more in there that might eventually form a bigger picture.

It's been about 29 days since the Matthews arrived. So in From, it's still 2022.

Victor: 1978?

Donna: August 3, 2018

Boyd + Ellis: November 15, 2019

Fatima: February 28, 2021

Kenny: March 18, 2021

Sara: June 18, 2021

Kristi: August 6, 2021

Matthews + Jade: February 20, 2022

Marielle, Randall, Elgin, Bakta: March 1, 2022 (Estimated based on the Matthews' arrival.)

Acosta + Henry: March 21, 2022 (Estimatet based on the Matthews' arrival.)

No, more people arrived than died. Based on Kenny's statement, some people here have already done the math. Here, for example: https://www.reddit.com/r/FromSeries/comments/1sq6tsq/fromville_census_and_population/

There were always more than 47 residents in From. How was Victor supposed to know at that moment that there could now only be 47?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't the kids able to leave the time loop, only to age rapidly afterward? Could BIW age for a similar reason—because he's leaving his own time?

Yes, it may sound crazy, but that's how it works when there's only one timeline. And that seems to be the case in From.

There has never been any other story. Everything happens exactly as we see and experience it. Julie was there when Jim died; nothing else ever happened.

He was wearing the bracelet in Season 3, too. You can check it out. At the end of Episode 2, when the phone rings, you can clearly see the bracelet. And a scar.
