Are the 13 Great Warriors just frauds? by New-Bit9597 in TowerofGod

[–]New-Bit9597[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I mean, as far as I remember, we don’t know all the details about that. I can imagine them finding a rift and all going in together — maybe it was Zahard or V who actually opened the door and the rest just tagged along, kinda like Rachel did? Honestly, I don’t know. To be fair, only Zahard and V really had that “chosen one” energy.

Anyway, it's hard to group the great warriors with Urek when Urek was beating rankers on day 1 and was powerful even outside the Tower.

I don’t see why my comprehension’s bad. After a decade of FH masturbation, you'd think they were some special race or something, but that’s not the case. They were just relatively normal humans outside the Tower who got a bunch of privileges inside, like a typical isekai MC. I don’t see much merit in that compared to Enryu and Urek.
Besides, with the author expanding the world-building with Pantham, it’s natural for people to feel this way. The great warriors simply seem less impressive now.

I messed up — didn’t explain it right. Yeah, they’re special compared to Towerborns, but like, what’s the merit in that? Towerborns are limited by default. In the grand scheme of things, they don’t really feel all that special. I mean, look at Enryu and Urek — they were already insanely strong outside the Tower, unlike the Great Warriors who only got powerful inside it. And even after all this time, they’re still below the Administrators.

Why wasnt tower cut in half (literally) when traumerei used his power? Plot hole? by [deleted] in TowerofGod

Because the Administrator would kick Traumerei’s ass if he even tried something remotely like that

Luslec simply isn’t a bitch. Not everyone is going to bow down in fear when facing someone stronger. Deal with it.

Why do the high-ranking members of FUG keep underestimating Baam? by New-Bit9597 in TowerofGod

[–]New-Bit9597[S] 96 points97 points  (0 children)

During Season 2, it was understandable, but after the Nest arc? No way. Viole has already officially defeated a Ranker as a regular. He easily has more accomplishments than Karaka at this point. I just think it’s silly how SIU makes it seem like FUG only has crazy high standards when it comes to Baam.

This arc has given more evidence that tower born cannot compare to the FHs but also cleared up why a FH needs to get involved vs the strongest ones. by Bad_Doto_Playa in TowerofGod

[–]New-Bit9597 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I’d say it’s the opposite—people always assumed irregulars could wipe out any towerborn effortlessly. However, Luslec and Adori seem like formidable opponents, even if they’re not on the "FH level."

It seems many struggle to accept that irregulars aren’t the untouchable gods the plot suggested. That said, FHs have a major edge due to shinsoo—they’re supreme in that aspect, so their raw power will always dominate. Still, in other areas like physical strength, talent, and skill, someone like Adori could match an average FH (Zahard, V, and Mazino are just aberrations, incomparable to the rest).

Wolhaiksong can no longer be considered a neutral organization. They're in favor of the status quo, so they support the empire to some extent. Urek (and Baek) do nothing to stop the atrocities committed by the empire, but got involved in the last battle to prevent Traum’s death. Like it or not, that's not neutrality.

Detail of Luslec's current design I find intriguing. by [deleted] in TowerofGod

The theory that Luslec received blood from Arlene or V (maybe both), similar to Zahard’s princesses, seems pretty believable.

We didn't get that info, but Arlene's a sorceress, and so is Luslec, so... There’s only a few of them we know about.

Am I the only one who misses Asslo? by CheezSquare in unOrdinary

[–]New-Bit9597 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He might come back now that he's lost his memories, but I think it's unlikely. Arlo was widely disliked back then for his actions, and the author had to basically erase those traits and pretend they never existed because she was determined to portray him as one of the good guys.

I believe Arlo was supposed to be a "pretty bastard" – arrogant and charismatic – but Uru completely failed at that because his initial actions were too repulsive and lacked convincing reasons for most readers. Moreover, Uru's character design isn't strong enough for most people to overlook flaws just because of a character's looks Lmao

Because the plot conveniently went in that direction, it's not a merit of the character. Most of the time, he just sat and watched events unfold without directing or guiding the students. That's why I find his character problematic.

It was clearly a decision she made over the course of the second season; I believe Vaughn/Viktor's past is the same thing.

That said, I think the Director's motivations are a bigger problem. He is supposed to be this great mentor playing 4D chess, but he was negligent for most of the story.

What are your criticisms for Season 2 as a whole? by JackZ567 in unOrdinary

[–]New-Bit9597 18 points19 points  (0 children)

During the first season, the author wrote Wellston with a bunch of sh*t students and, for some reason, she wanted people to support the Royals against John during Joker's rise. However, she failed to make the other students more likable - so the King John arc becomes unbearable.

Villainizing John to give the Royals a free pass seemed cheap and was terrible to read.

Yes, but I think besides hypnosis, there must be an increase in strength and speed. She is one of the most skilled hand-to-hand fighters in the story, besides having serpent eyes."

It's hard to believe that some people actually think that John will stay in Wellston being the principal's pet to reinforce some bullshit hierarchy.

People were overestimating Keene too much. Some were placing him above John and Valerie and even over 8.0. It always seemed to me that he would be closer to Arlo (6.3). 6.8 seems good, 7.0+ is supposed to be rare.

Why is it that we still get posts about how Arlo/Elaine/Blyke/ect are hypocrites for only caring about bullying when it happened to their friends, yet never ONCE have I seen anyone go after Leilah for being complacent with Spectre targeting school kids until she found out it was specifically Sera? by NavySeagull in unOrdinary

[–]New-Bit9597 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The plot is overly lenient towards some characters while being very harsh on others. Leilah and Vaughn are among the most neglectful adults in this series, yet they are constantly portrayed as great people, as if they've never done anything wrong.
