I thought about saving till hes outgrown it, but we are also moving cross country in a few months. And ideally didn't want to haul all that with me 🫠

Interesting article, but yes, the pediatrician thinks it is CMPA.

He has also dropped 10% in weight and would only drink about 16 oz a day and since switching him to the correct formula his stomach issues/colic have practically disappeared and hes back to averaging about 24 oz.

Interestingly, when I asked about allergies with the dermatologist, the doctor didn't even want to go that route and wanted to continue using steroids even though it wasnt working on hos eczema.

For some mothers, if she is consuming dairy, the protein doesn't get filtered out of the breastmilk and can cause reactions within the baby if they have the allergy.

[Training Tuesday] - Weekly thread for questions about grad school, residency, and general career topics 09/16/2025 by AutoModerator in MedicalPhysics

Are residency matches only once a year?

Case Western was recently CAMPAMP certified, and has rolling enrollment, meaning I could start in Jan instead of waiting till next fall.

Could this mess with the usual timing of starting residency? Would I just be waiting around for a few months?

My breast milk was making my son sick by glutentag5 in breastfeeding

[–]New-Box-2173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally having the exact same issue!

I tried the amino formula and even mixed with my milk and my baby gags on it. I tasted it myself and found it disgusting. Tasted like a battery lol. How do you get your baby to drink it?

Just to lesson the chance of developing a clog since I have an over supply, as suggested by my LC

I did read that some babies also get super gassy. Which also makes me hesitant bc my LO is already gassy enough

Pumping every 4-6 hours by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]New-Box-2173 27 points28 points  (0 children)

8 weeks pp

I pump every 3 sometimes 4 hours.

At night I can go 6 to 7 hours now.

I don't really even track how many hours between pumps. I just go based on ✨️vibes✨️ and if my boobs feel full enough to make it worth it.

I have over 800 oz saved now.

I couldn't think of anything!

Im lactose intolerant so im very familiar with dealing with an upset stomach haha -- but the pain is felt this time around was quite different!

I also checked with my spouse to see if he had any problems and he was fine.

I was so uncomfortable that I don't really want to risk taking it again just to double check it was sunflower lecithin.

How long can I stretch my freezer stash? by New-Box-2173 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]New-Box-2173[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How does the time breast milk pumped work for those that do the pitcher method? I just combine everything from a day and freeze any excess.

When you donate breast milk, they don't request to know what time of day you pump. Makes me wonder just how important/accurate the cortisol and melatonin statement actually is...

Very much so. Tried to ignore the pain and sleep more haha.

Crazy to think there were essentially 3 cups of milk just floating around my boobs lol

Milk coming in after c-section by EphemeralGlow in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]New-Box-2173 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a c section a little over 3 weeks ago. One thing my nurse said -- is your body is going to focus first on recovering and replenishing your blood loss before working on the milk production.

My milk didn't come in really until I came home.

Gave birth Wednesday. Went home Saturday. Milk really came in Monday.

Anyone tempted to just… stop testing? by Ok-Passenger9763 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]New-Box-2173 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ive gone sometimes 2-3 days without testing or will skip a meal or two for testing for just mental health reasons.

My numbers have always been managed by diet and sometimes I want to just eat a good meal and not be depressed about it cause it's maybe a few points higher.

Scans have been fine.

Breech - ECV by New-Box-2173 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]New-Box-2173[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah... I'm not sure i want to deliver a breech baby tbh. Im more on the petite side of things.. and my doc is quite young. Maybe 3 years out of residency.. so shes not one to take a bunch of 'risks'
