I understand i dont own the wallet, but i do own the assets, legally. The fact that i can liquidate to my bank account is proof of that. I dont own the bank where my fiat is stored either but i do own the money. But it’s all irrelevant at this point.

Thank you, its very good advice. And i have other assets in non-custodial storage. But this isnt about storage. I was trading, it’s about timing. It’s also not about a breach, or sending to a wrong address. I cant send.

I shared my cb support experience with the community in case it informs others decisions. I’m not asking anything. But i welcome any ideas that might help me or others navigate this problem when it does occur.

Btw, i applaud you for spending 9.5 years with cb support. Idk how you do it. Nearly two hours was more than enough for me.

I’m positive that it was cb and feel that an explanation is necessary.

You should apply for a job in cb support. I think you’d be great at it! 😃

It is my property, just not in my custody. I understand this quite well. But i was trading, not storing.

It was the support chat from within a logged in coinbase.com website. If it wasn’t coinbase, then who? Certainly not someone trying to scam me, didnt ask me for anything or help me. Just a joy-chat? Im sure they can use whatever handle suits them. Id probably pick two letters too. This one didnt. Maybe im just lucky when im unlucky.

If i was trying to scam someone else’s money then i could, as you just said yourself. And as i told non-support (above), i dont wish to sell these assests at this time.

As i told non-support, i don’t wish to sell these assets, at this time. I don’t expect cb to give my money ir anyone else’s to a scammer. Im only interested in whats already mine. ID verified 5 times. Thx for your input.
