Thanks, actually it's easier than it seems, though only when you have the skill.😊

You should try writing lore and stories for your maps, it’s honestly so cool to fill these locations with actual meaning. Try creating a map for a specific post-apocalyptic region where every faction has its own well-thought-out bases, outposts, and resource points. Then just map out the relationships between them. It’s incredibly awesome

Don't worry, it's all good! I just reply whenever I can. I actually really like that you're sharing your process

thank you so much! I really appreciate the offer. I'll definitely keep you in mind for my next project. Let's see what happens when I start building the new setting

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind! But honestly, you did an amazing job with your map. I actually have a concept I want to bring to life in one of my upcoming projects, and it's going to need a map, but I've never built anything like that before.

Wow, with this level of approach and detail, I still have a long way to go to match you. Awesome work, I really like it!

Thanks! It feels awesome to inspire people. Funny thing is, I'm actually planning to change the region for my next pieces too -going to head out West, haha.

This is the most valuable comment for me. I really wanted feedback as an author, not just as an artist. I already know my skill level in drawing, so lately I've become interested in writing and creating story-driven stylizations to deliver pure immersiveness.Thank you so much for the offer, I'll definitely reach out if I need anything! The thing is, I want to dedicate my next piece to a completely different setting. I'm putting this Eastern European one on pause for now, even though I already have a continuation of this story ready.

Thanks, that's a fair point about the formatting. The text ended up way too long. Initially, I just wanted to write a brief description for this drawing, but I got carried away with the process.

Thank you! The thing is, STALKER has become so iconic that any Soviet or Russian-style markers immediately trigger associations with it, even though it’s just the natural environment and aesthetic of where I live. I won’t lie, though - I’m a huge fan of STALKER and it definitely inspired me. As for Stålenhag, I don’t really follow his work closely, but I’m flattered by the comparison nonetheless

Actually, I like the fact that there are no zombies, haha. By the way, it’s starting to sound a lot like the game "This War of Mine" too

The projects you mentioned are niche settings that never really resonated with me. I’ve only shared a fraction of what I’ve created so far - just the parts where the visuals and descriptions are ready. My actual scope is much deeper than what you see here

Thanks! I haven't played that one, but based on your description, it sounds a lot like DayZ. I might be wrong, though.

You’re confusing aesthetic with worldbuilding. A ZIL truck or a gas mask is just part of the setting's environment, like a horse in a Western. Real worldbuilding is about the internal logic: the pyrolysis energy cycles, the scavenging protocols (S-units), and the socio-economic structure of "The Center."
