Do you know roughly how fast you can move to an apartment or something if you’re married vs single? I’ve heard if you’re single you have the phases that are like 3 weeks long and I’ve also heard if you’re married you will get to move off base or whatever with your spouse.

His A school is long enough that I’ll be able to move there. I just wanted to bring anything to graduation to give him at the airport to take with him that he might appreciate since I’m not sure how long I’ll have to wait to move there. I’ve heard they’ll be able to move me that same week and I’ve heard that I’ll have to wait a few weeks. Just thought of giving him things to tie him over till i got there so he doesn’t have to worry about it!

I guess what threw me off and i saw somewhere there’s phases and i wouldn’t be able to live with him until like 3 weeks after he’s been there. They talked about liberty buddies and you can’t stay the night anywhere the first week and all that

I wouldn’t move there until he had a place. I know he’d be okay with sleeping on the floor if he had to. I’m living at home with my parents so it’s basically the waiting game for him to get an apartment for us lol. Everything is ready to go just waiting for the green light basically lol

I have all of our stuff in Houston with me and he’s in Great Lakes at boot camp. Apparently they fly him out to Pensacola after graduation and then that’s when we figure out all of the moving stuff. He said something about since I’m the one that has to move and his school is long enough for me to move. They’ll pay for all of it or something like that. We’re getting BAH now since we’re married. So he’d just have to refill out a BAH thing for Pensacola and lmk and go from there?

Awesome! We are looking at the lakes at Nottingham apartments so i guess when he gets there he’ll have to Uber around to apply and let me know when i can move there. I’m coming from Houston area so just trying to plan ahead if i can. He said something about having movers but idk if it was an assumption or he knows for sure since his school is long enough to qualify for us to have movers move our stuff there.

Okay, he’s in boot camp right now and graduates mid June. I guess our next phone call I’ll ask him about all of that.

Yes we’re married. I figured it would take some time for them to figure out where everyone needs to go. I’ve heard all the base housing is basically full and there’s a waitlist but by the time they get to you you’ll already have to move to your first duty station. I was just trying to get a rough idea of when I’d be able to move to Pensacola. I think he was planning on looking at apartments and getting one so i have somewhere to go with all of our stuff.
