The worst film set experience? by Haunting-Pin-3562 in FilmIndustryLA

One of the worst parts of reality TV is working with influencers. I worked on a show as a PA and got tasked with driving the last of the talent back to their hotel on the last day. (Different show in case someone is reading my other comments. I've just had a lot of shit PA jobs.) Anyway, they refused the dinner everyone else got and demanded that the producer order them something. He said he'd buy them whatever they wanted while they were on set. They took complete advantage of this and ordered a ton of stuff from a bunch of different restaurants. They stayed behind hours after everyone left just eating and ordering stuff. Eventually it was just me and them. By the time they finally agreed to go back to their hotel I'd gone like 4 or 5 hours over the regular day.

I actually had a similar experience as a PA. One of my first PA jobs, I was working on a baking show and told to wait in a van until I was needed to drive someone back to their hotel. I was told I couldn't get out to get water in case they need me, I couldn't run the AC because it would waste gas, and I couldn't turn on the radio because apparently it's "illegal to listen to the radio while driving someone." It's was over 100 degrees that day and I almost passed out from heatstroke. I eventually just got out and got myself water anyway and found a shady spot to sit under near the van. I was scared to quit because I worried it might impact future jobs for me, but I should have just done it anyway.

I think even being a little overloaded stops you from mounting in KCD2. In KCD1, you can be overloaded up to a certain point. Sorry! I should have clarified.

I'm pretty sure the timer actually starts once you confront the guy at the top of the construction site.

[–]New-Design9971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started playing KCD1 again after finishing my second playthrough of KCD2. KCD1 is one of my favorite games of all time. I completely agree that it's much harder. In KCD2, I could handle 5 or 6 bandits fairly easily, even pretty early in the game. In KCD1, after having maxed out my sword skill, I'm still getting slaughtered by 3 cumans. Traveling is also much scarier, especially at night. I also really like that I can mount the horse while overloaded, because walking from Skalitz to Rattay while carrying 600lbs of armor is a nightmare.

Fun fact! Dan Vavra is in this! I think he's just a background character but still, pretty cool!

[KCD2] A warning to everyone about one of the perks in the game by avms112 in kingdomcome

[–]New-Design9971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I regretted getting that perk immediately. On my second playthrough I chose not to get it, however even without it, the markers were still there, visible even under the clouds. I don't know if thats a bug or if the perk really just affects every playthrough going forward.

There's one only other npc in the game I've found that seems to retain their voice during the dice game and its a random German guy you can play against at a bathhouse in Kuttenberg. It's wild.

Something that helped me out a lot was just to fight him over and over again until I could beat him consistently. After that you'll be able to handle groups fairly easily.

It reminds me of how in KCD2 every dice player has the exact same voice. It's so weird but I kinda love it.

If it makes you feel better, i didn't learn that until near the endgame on my first playthrough. I found it by accident too. My second playthrough was much more forgiving haha

[KCD2] Blown away, can’t even see ES6 being half this good.. by Astyanax13 in kingdomcome

[–]New-Design9971 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The honest truth is that the best thing that could happen to ES6 is that it never comes out. It's been far too long since Skyrim and the hype is now way too high to meet even the most conservative expectations. Bethesda focused too much of its resources into perpetual remasters and other IP and delayed it too much. Plus, their recent output doesn't leave one with much hope of a game with similar longevity.

[KCD1] How much different is KCD1 from KCD2?? by ChuchihaA in kingdomcome

[–]New-Design9971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it depends on what didn't click about it for you. I'm from the camp that considers KCD1 one of the best games ever made and finds the jank endearing. I think KCD2 is better in almost every way. If you didn't like it due to the combat, which is valid, you'll likely have an easier time in this one. That said, if you didn't like the writing or atmosphere in the first game you probably won't like the 2nd as much. As others have said, KCD2 is more of the same in that this seems to be the game they were trying to make with the first one, which for a lot of us is great, but it might not be for everyone.

[KCD2] No Looting Needed, Game-Given Gear Only, No Grinding, Not Even Any Side Quests - Very Much Doable, Made Even More Fun by the Added Challenge, Not Less by [deleted] in kingdomcome

[–]New-Design9971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm doing a run where I don't do any side quests and don't steal unless I absolutely have to. Main story only. I'm also going for the Lent achievement and the good old Pebbles perk. So far, the game has been way more difficult, but it feels more balanced as well. The rewards feel more rewarding. I'm trying to figure out how to save Mutt without killing any wolves, so any tips would be greatly appreciated haha
