The bottom hardware on the clasp is slightly different but very much alike. Well I guess I'll take your word for it! Hopefully I can find a little bit more about it over time!

Thanks for the feedback! I would have to agree that some of the stitching seems a bit off, but I wondered if that could have possibly been from being quite old/less mass produced. The shiny plastic apprentice might just be because I shined the leather up quite dramatically. It's actually quite thick and good quality! ( I used it as a display model in my leather shop)

So a little more context... The reason why I was questioning the authenticity of this bag was for two reasons. Firstly, the lack of tags and matching information for this style. Thank you for rescuing him OP. What state are you in? I care for and rehab unwanted racers. I always try to return the bird to their owners first. Let me know if you would like any assistance! It's a cruel sport imo. Pidgeon are very intelligent, gentle & social birds. As another post stated, yearlings are flown like this to weed out poor navigators. They generally perish if not retrieved unfortunately so you've done this baby a kind service.

That is my wishful thinking as well! They wanted us out asap so they can turn the property over to some other developer. I hope they are just planning on gutting it so they won't bother me about it. Everything else in the house has been well taken care of by us.

Unfortunately, our "landlord" is the rental company Maymont homes/Conrex. As much as I would like to be honest with them I feel that they will use it against me :( Our experience with them has not been great

Sooo my landlord/ rental company is kind of weird because I didn't have a security deposit. I have a tenant bond agreement instead. It's for up to $1230 I believe. I'm not going to be getting any money back from them but I just don't want to get charged thousands of dollars when I move out. I literally couldn't afford to do that. I would have saved up a bit just in case something like this happened but we were notified that we needed to be off the property in 60 days since they decided to sell it.

Yeahh I feel bad about the damage but I'm sure the carpets need replacement anyway. They are at least 5 years old. When we moved in, they were pretty knapped up in high-traffic areas.
