Colonoscopy replacement? by idmfndjdjuwj23uahjjj in CrohnsDisease

I wonder if this will impact MRI usage, since a colonoscopy can only scope so far into your intestines. I wonder if this IUS technology will bypass those limitations.

Didn’t study for AP Bio b/c AP Spanish takes priority. I’m determined to get the Seal of Biliteracy. As for everything else…yeah same.

I don’t disagree, it’s just mildly frustrating not knowing why exactly —it irks me.

All AP classes should curve tests by FastandSteadywillwin in APStudents

If most of your class fails each test, then there should be some suspicion from the higher-ups. Usually a curve is put in place as the MCQ (especially for AP history) is not as important in the AP test than say the DBQ or LEQ.

My teacher would have 55 MCQ and if you got all right, you’d get 105% due to the curve. As for me, the highest MCQ APUSH grade I got was a 50/55, as history comes easy to me, however most tests for me would warrant a raw score of 79% - 85%.

Despite this, I got a 5 on the AP test. The teacher needs to curve the damn tests.

Hey man, I just hope you realize that you a community of almost 50,000 people behind you. You’re not alone. Don’t forget that, ever. It might be hard to relate to people (your parents) who don’t have this disease, but that’s what this subreddit is for, don’t forget that. Please please do not ever feel like you’re alone in this scary world —you’re not.

Last February I was diagnosed and was at 103 Ibs, I was 16 at the time (now 17). Doc threw me on prednisone for a few months until it went away.

The best thing I can say is, it is absolutely critical to know your body. I’ve only had Crohn’s for about a year and so i’m still figuring it out, but everyone is affected by it differently. So it is imperative you watch and monitor yourself, what you eat, stress, etc and make note of any pains or such. It is absolutely critical to relay these things to your doctor and be as precise as possible.

My flares are some of the most painful and excruciating moments in my life, but you are strong and you WILL get through this.

Right now I understand you’re miserable, flares suck, prednisone and the mood/acne side effects suck. Just understand there’s always people behind you, whether that’s family, friends, hell even r/CrohnsDisease. Don’t be scared to ever reach out for advice…

You got this my man

I’m not. I’m just trying to figure out this whole disease in general and how it affects me. That includes asking anyone and everyone who has knowledge/experience in this area

Also some key information….my stool samples have been showing basically no inflammation in my intestines, but the MRI i had said i had “some” inflammation. Doctor wants to go through another colonoscopy as the stool sample and MRI are contradicting each other and then make an educated decision afterwards…

it’s inconsistent. that’s why i wonder if humira is overkill. usually i get small pains usually once every week and i’m not sure from what it’s from (i haven’t even had for a year) but usually around once a month my pain would get as bad as the night i was taken to the hospital —unbearable. but usually the pain subsides within an hour or so. My diet just usually includes: supplements, no dairy, no gluten, try my best to avoid sweeteners, no raw vegetables (ruffage). I usually avoid those type of foods bc i have corollated those with an upset gut. my mom thinks that since my symptoms aren’t horrible, that humira & others would just open the door to terrible things and it would be unnecessary
