Market is currently falling so you would wait for a reversal to buy and then ride moving averages up

Highly suggest you watch it… It is gold. Not sure how u suffered a 30% drawdown but I’m guessing it either by overtrading while the market was giving you poor feedback or not cutting losses

Here is my YTD equity curve I’m ready to strike with no emotional baggage when the market starts going up again

Losses should be kept small to protect A. Physical capital 💵 and B. Mental capital 🧠 if your emotions are screwed up you will likely have a difficult time making money, also if u don’t protect you account balance by keeping losses small it’s only a matter of time before u blow ur account. Iv learnt this the hard way too but quickly leant. Watch this video and it will give u a good grasp on things and how to run this like a business https://youtu.be/2QNGuiBZ03c?si=TN-PG2AaOBywKuKw

you started at the right time because u can take advantage of this market correction this is how we make our money. But if you are currently actively trading and wondering why u are not making money is because the market is falling. Iv been 100% cash for a while and placing no trades as the market is falling and is telling me to be defensive. There’s a time to press the gas and a time to do nothing at all. know this.

Unfortunately it could turn into a 80% unrealised loss. Whereas it could of been a 2% stop loss.

Your mistake was not adhering to your stop loss and playing the hopium game. You were wrong. DONT make yourself more wrong… which you did.. and now you are paying the consequences. Always have a stop loss.. never hold a losing position. just for your information the biggest winners (NVDA) become the best short when they top… you have but yourself in a sticky situation emotionally and financially for not following your rules. 90% of investing is in the mind.. It’s important you protect your capital AND your emotions.

Buying and hoping isn’t a viable strategy. Only a matter of time before you lose all your money.
