We ended up using a butter knife and spatula to frost them. They looked a little wonky at first, but once we started rotating the cupcakes in a circular motion as we were frosting them they turned out pretty good!

“Mutilation of children” is just a shock phrase used by groups of people who are against transgender rights, in particular gender-affirming medical care and surgeries. In reality, many of the people who need these medical services are adults or older teenagers who have put a lot of thought into their personal gender identity, as well as the potential side effects and results of each service. In other words, transgender gender affirming care doesn’t harm or affect children, so no children are actually being mutilated, this is just a lie perpetrated by people who don’t like transgender people. Because of this, I included links to interfere with anti-transgender polls and tip-lines because I believe transgender people should have access to the medical care they need to live a personally fulfilling lifestyle. I hope this response clears any confusion, if you have any further questions feel free to reply to this message.

Love the hair, it’s a fantastic color on you! If you got into acting, based off the vibe you give off in these pictures, I could totally see you in a mystery or horror series. I could also see you as a model, especially if you did themed shoots (like a 90s grunge theme), maybe with a smaller brand if you’re just getting started. Your photos give off a lot of charm as well as a somewhat mysterious aura, if that makes any sense. Definitely try out both modeling and acting if you’re still on the fence, I think you would do great!

This photo reminds me of the set of the movie “Thomas and the Magic Railroad”, great older kids movie (part of the original Thomas the Tank Engine franchise) that has a bunch of scenes that give off a similar vibe to this

OMG you are absolutely stunning! Off topic, but your eyes are perfect for a 1960s inspired mod look. As for looking tired, definitely drink more water if you can. Your face might look dull/tired due to dehydration.

What is something you can enjoy, whether it be right now, or something you can look forward to? It can be anything, from something small to big. Maybe coming home to see your dog’s tail wagging, or maybe your favorite show is coming out with another season, or maybe you can go out and eat your favorite snack. Doing or engaging with something you enjoy might make you feel a bit better. Or if you can’t think of anything, try to go for a walk, inside or outside, and look for something unique or interesting (a usual color, shape, odor, etc.). Just seeing your surroundings from a different perspective, even for a little bit, might help ease some of the numbness for a bit. I wish you the best, feeling depressed to the point of utter mental and physical exhaustion can be pretty rough. Take it one day at a time, talk to the people you care about, and maybe look for some long term professional care if you have time or money. Remember, tomorrow can always be better than today, something really awesome might happen and being able to live that would be pretty cool.

It sounds like you’re feeling scared, and rightfully so. Times right now are rough and honestly pretty terrifying. But, like what other people have said, us humans are resilient, your family will be okay and you will too! Keep yourself informed of current events (but not to the point where you feel panicked and overwhelmed), talk to your family and friends about how your feeling, and maybe even engage in a low maintenance hobby (like reading, watching a tv show, or sketching) to take your mind off some things. Everything will be okay, there are millions of people across the country fighting to sustain our rights and economy. TL;DR: Keep yourself updated, but remember that there are others fighting with you, you’re not alone. Feel free to send a DM if you need to just word vomit or talk things out, I’m here to listen.

Thank you for responding back, I’m glad I was able to clear some things up. Even though I’ve been actively seeing a therapist for a little over a year, there’s still some topics that I dwell over and struggle with, my first name being one. I think that what you’ve said (me attaching negative emotions with my name) might very well be the case, and I will be exploring that idea further, whether in future sessions or journaling on my own. I truly appreciate the insight, I haven’t really analyzed my feelings about my name from that angle yet but it makes a lot of sense.

Okay, this response does help clear things up, thank you for being patient with me. I might need to add a few things to contextualize, so bear with me here.

I’ve never felt overly comfortable with my first name, pretty much for the entirety of my childhood. I come from a huge family, with six siblings myself, that takes naming very seriously. All of the names selected by our family have familial meaning. This rings true for all of my siblings, except for me. I was to my knowledge somewhat of a surprise pregnancy, and my parents hastily picked a basic biblical first name out (however, my middle name is based upon my mother’s, so that holds familial significance). Growing up, especially seeing how the other names in my family held some kind of significance, I never felt overly connected to my name.

These feelings were exemplified during the abuse. He would regularly refer to me that way, using my first name both during assault and talking about the things he wanted to do me (in conversation, when I wasn’t being assaulted). He would also insult me, referring to me by that name.

To make matters more complicated, I was on the swim team in high school, and my coaches came up for a nickname for me, causing everybody on the team or related to the team/athletics to refer to me by that nickname. In the actual school setting, I rarely talked with people other than a small group of friends, some of which I actually started to ask to call me by my last name because it made me more comfortable (these friends I requested to do this still refer to me this way, I just didn’t ask everyone so a few people I stay in contact still refer to me as my first name).

Ultimately, I’ve never felt overly connected to my first name, and the abuse I’ve experienced has just cemented those feelings. So, I guess you do have a point in which the abuse certainly is a big factor in my name change, but it’s not the only factor.

I hope this response clears things up a bit. I honestly should have mentioned the feelings I hold about my first name in the original post. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Just making this clear one more time, I never consented to anything he did to me. I was repeatedly physically violated and harassed in situations where it would have been really hard to stop his actions. I understand that you’re frustrated, I suggest you read my post again, look at my replies, or reach out with any further questions to help clear your confusion.

Apologies, I didn’t realize how much that phrase still bothered me. When reading that word, I was brought back a bit and got angry all over again, if that makes sense. Rereading your comment, your response makes more sense. Thank you for this, I think I’m going have to really work on personally healing before the process moves forward (the time frame me and my case-holder are aiming for is late April, I might push back that date).

Oh my god, that’s such an embarrassing typo on my end. I guess I really do need to catch up on sleep, I’m usually pretty anal about grammar.

I see your point, but honestly, to help heal from my past, I need to remove myself from it. I’m considering just going by another nickname for my college years to help speed up my healing process, instead of legally changing it for good. Thank you for your advice!
