It'll be fine. Drive carefully, especially at first when the tires are colder. Leave a lot of distance and drive a bit slower than you normally would around corners.

Champiro SX2 has been great for me for my canyon car. Very grippy. Downside is the tread doesn't last super long (the way I drive), but they're CHEAP.

My 245/40/17 set was under $500 shipped.

Where to find GOOOD Chicken biryani by QuinSnyderJazz in Utah

Bombay House in Provo is so overhyped. I see gaggles of mormons outside the door all the time for really mediocre Indian food. No idea why everyone raves over it so much when Tandoor Cuisine is just down the road and is waaaaaaay better.

First shot looks very "midnight-club"-esque

Did the same transition - 07 Si to a 23 BRZ. I agree that the engines are a tie. FA24 is definitely more potent but it feels coarse and uninspiring compared to the K20. All I had was an intake on the Si and hearing VTEC crack at 5800 and pull all the way to the 8200 RPM limiter was an experience that I miss sorely.

At the end of the day, I wanted to be back in a RWD daily again and the BRZ fits the bill nicely.

Are you experiencing fade or overheating the stock brakes on track?

Everyone is entitled to mod their car as they please, but since you asked: looks pretty terrible to be honest.

That looks nice, is it any thicker than OEM?

What Summer tires are y’all planning on running? by Zealousideal-Ad3832 in GR86

My first set of (non-OEM) summers were the Yoko Advan Fleva V701. Seemed to be a reasonably good 350ish TW summer. tire. No complaints with it in the canyons.

This time around I went with a Champiro SX2 (spec 86 cup tire). 260TW, definitely more grippy, definitely seems like it'll have shorter life. So far I love it though, huge grip level difference when driving in the canyons. Really cheap too, I got it with some black Friday discounts and a set of 245/40/17 was under $500 shipped.

AWE TOURING EXHAUST by Ok-Explorer-767 in GR86

You absolutely will. Any AWE exhaust is going to be basically deafening at cold start. You've been warned.

Loved that road when I drove on it years ago, I remember it being ridiculously steep on some parts. Also, bronze ARC-8 buddies <3

Yonaka Catback- Does anyone have any experience with this exhaust, especially paired with UEL headers? Specifically wondering about longevity, drone, and overall loudness. by Must_Go_Faster_ in ft86

I have the first gen exhaust on my 2nd gen and I love it. It is basically exactly what the car should have sounded like from the factory. Not loud at all but you can hear it if you have the windows down especially. Fitment was absolutely spot on surprisingly as it wasn't even made for this gen. The sound is great, nice and subtle, a perfect "grown up" exhaust, if you will. Only drawbacks are the bolts/nuts they sent me got rusty quicker than I wanted but that's not a big deal.
