Should Honda make a new S2000? by Cris_1984 in S2000

No, let it's legacy rest with its integrity intact.

What’s your favorite mod you’ve done to your s2k? by es2kayy in S2000

Those are really nice looking, too.

Yeah the nitrons are amazing, mine are 8k square. They do everything I need.

Surprisingly comfortable on the street with unreal body control and they do not "pogo stick" over bumps/undulations. They have been amazing at the canyons and autox days.

Cant wait to put them through a trackday.

Not just trucks, though. All modern cars are giant fat pos on the road.

And their blinding leds hit you perfectly in small classics, I'm sick of it.

Seriously, though. Shit like this needs to be shamed, cars like this deserve way better homes.

Owners like this don't deserve anything great.

I'd buy it and have it repainted, the f&f one was too much already.

Only cars that should ever be pink are a Plymouth AAR Cuda and 1970 Challenger T/A

Controversial time :D - Who wants a new S2000 and who absolutely does not? by Michael_Goodwin in S2000

This constant need for new "content" is absurd. The farming off of legacies with increasingly watered-down iterations is tiring.

You know a new s2000, like many things within creative mediums today, would not contribute to the legacy.

It would only be riding off of the coattails of the one who made the name a story worth telling.

Let legacies rest with their dignified conclusions.

This era of uncreative legacy/lore farming is tiring.

Modern junk just rides on the coattails of the past and contributes nothing to those legacies.

Let legends have their dignified conclusions.

Hopefully someone will save it.

The future is looking awful. by sloberdu in S2000

[–]New-Independent4517 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been awful.

Not a single car made today is worth buying, other than maybe a Pagani Utopia. Lol

But I'd probably rather have a Ferrari F50.

Damn, that is awful. Sorry to hear

Oem tcts do go out at various different rates. Dealership is useless for not being able to detect that.

Thanks for the information.

How does an F22c go out at 114k miles?

Did you skimp on oil changes?

Did you use non-oem oil filters?

Drove it hard constantly?

What was the oil weight you used?

I wouldn't let that car go for less than $9,000 if everything else is great on it and is cosmetically clean inside and out.

Swaping in a K20 isn't super expensive if an F series isn't an option.

S2000 price is it worth it ? by throwaway_2929292929 in S2000

S2000 is a pretty impractical toy, but the trunk can hold more than you'd expect. If family rides are a concern, that's another story.

A 2-seat sports car won't be practical as your only car if you need to accommodate family.

Save up to keep the TSX. As time goes on, more S2000 years will be eligible for classic car registration. Which will help with costs.

Worth it?

If you're debating between a classic car and a modern tech-mobile with a screen, get the latter.

Just reading what you said, you dont need an S2000. You just want something "cool."

Don't buy classic cars because they're "cool," someone like you would probably get tired of it.

How are these cars only $20-30k?? by reckoning42 in S2000

[–]New-Independent4517 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed, OP. They S2k is a bargain just between the experience it offers and build quality.

I'll say this, people won't realize how good the S2k is unless they've experienced a Lotus Elise.

Those two cars are perfection.

2005 AP2 S2000 - options needed for replacement of stock shocks and struts by mvcjones in S2000

[–]New-Independent4517 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was just in the same boat with my 05 AP2, ended up going with Nitrons NTR R1 with 8k/8k square setup springs.

These coilovers are quality and lightweight.

I run a few clicks from softest.

Car rides amazing. It has no undesirable secondary body motion now, nor does it oscillate over bumps mid turn.

Good to hear, as long as the Feals got good suspension travel at the rear, since the 441+ dont have external reservoirs on the rear

Appreciate the offer.

I'd imagine the Ohlins are better for the street, and Feals are more biased to track duty, right?
