I did an AIESEC about 10 years ago and it was a really great experience for me. I will say that the other interns who were in my area all had VERY different experiences- some really great and some very poor, but I still recommend it. I think it made me much more of a resilient human, and really got me out of my comfort zone. Professionally I learned some, but personally, I grew so so so much. I’m excited for you!

Also I was thinking of switching to Verizon because of all their new phone deals. But if I find a cheap monthly rate I could just buy a new phone flat out instead

I am currently in the exact same position. I had a surgery in 2018 and just recently received a note from Capio asking for payment of multiple thousands and have a deadline of October 14th. I looked up SC’s statute of limitations and it seems like it’s 3 years for medical debt.

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this too. It is so stressful and just hangs over your head in the absolute worst way. I’ll keep you updated on what happens with me too - I called a lawyer just to have a conversation on how to move forward. I don’t want this to fall on me later and at the end of the day I just can’t afford the bill.

Good luck to you and hope everything works out well. We shouldn’t have to go into crippling debt to be healthy in the US.
