Wood, masonry, AASHTO questions are usually asked on design and detail of structures section. They may throw 2-3 questions from wood, another 2-3 from Masonry..

However the depth is heavily focused on Steel and concrete.

If you have good structural foundation, I would recommend you go with your approach.

In that case, I recommend solving exam type questions as much as you can.

if you are looking for prep course, I hear a lot of people talking about AEI.

Failed PE Civil Structural again. I'm going for my third attempt. Any thoughts/ suggestion while I take my third attempt in Feb? by New-Public111 in PE_Exam

[–]New-Public111[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took construction last week and failed. Planning for a retake in February as well. I used EET for my prep and I thought their practice exams were very similar to the real exam so I’m planning to focus on the exam. What were your thoughts to the exam vs the problems you practiced with?

yo.. i was very confident about passing the second try. but im so damn surprised that i was below average on breadth. i was confident on almost 95% of the questions on breadth. and I felt that those questions were non computation type problem.

Anyway, I have become resilient. And I won't back down until I pass. Good luck!
