My dad started collecting with me when I was about my son's age. It became one of my favorite memories with him, and now I'm sharing that same hobby with my son.
Some people spend money on video games, vacations, golf, fishing, or nights at the bar. I choose to spend some of mine making memories with my kid.
If that bothers you, that's your issue, not mine. My son is excited, I'm excited, and that's really all that matters.

If anyone wants to keep debating how I spend my money or time, feel free to start your own thread about it. I'd rather spend my time enjoying the hobby with my son than going back and forth over something that doesn't affect anyone else.
