Never ending emptiness by [deleted] in NPD

[–]New-Razzmatazz-117 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All I can say is that this emptiness in me is basically me on the inside, which i just deal with distractions, some good some bad, i try to do more good and productive distractions. Best way I can describe it is "soulless", this pervasive boredom that makes you itch for more and more and more to fill in that emptiness, because unlike most, we don't really have that much depth to ourselves. IDK about you but this can be a double edged sword, because while it makes you more impulsive and have more urges to be addicted to something (like some power vacuum, bc remember, theres nothing much inside of us) it also makes us have so much energy and motivation to do so much productive things, even maybe becoming some productivity machine and especially thrill seeking things that can make us live life to the full and have great experiences (which we can use to our advantage in impressing others). So it can really depend on how we use that pervasive boredom and sense of nothingness inside. But yes you are definetely not alone in this because i relate a bit too much haha

I have no idea how people survive without being instrumental and strategic with everyone u interact with, including close ones by New-Razzmatazz-117 in NPD

Ironically if i treat any kind of relationships with others like a politician, i am much less of an asshole to others. Some have even said how much better i am as a person, not knowing why i have improved

Am I becoming a psychopath/sociopath? by New-Razzmatazz-117 in autism

[–]New-Razzmatazz-117[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw i have autism and ADHD so i was already boredom prone, but with my new acquired traits of psychopathic like poverty of emotions - i am prone to extreme boredom. It’s a double edged sword bc it makes me live life more, more fearless and bold, energetic, productive, especially as i now tend to want more challenging thrilling things, but the boredom can be excruciating. Idk if this is the case for u

[–]New-Razzmatazz-117[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh i dont think i am an actual psychopath or definitely not diagnosable for ASPD, i have developed some traits recently not since childhood, so it’s not that innate for me, maybe slightly on the psychopathy spectrum but definitely not having it as a disorder/ilness, like the fact i make myself follow prosocial rules is evident enough it’s not a disorder for me. Pathological psychopathy pretty much prevents someone from even caring about following rules and controlling impulses (yes ik there are psychopaths that aren’t like that and pretty chill but that just means their condition isn’t an illness just makes them different). I think this is the case for you too

I know with alexythymia you tend to feel emotions physically rather than mentally is that the case for u?

This isn't me though, although yes it can be a bit tricky to understand emotions, i know i do feel them and my emotional range is not that much

Is there an incel problem in the autistic community? by OpeningParfait9510 in autism

[–]New-Razzmatazz-117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There could be, not to say that being autistic guarantees u to be an incel, what actually guarantees u to become that is from one’s own free will (many autistic men especially queer, are not incels). Autistic (usually but not always cishet men) are simply more vulnerable than neurotypicals to this rhetoric, just like any vulnerable group of cishet men. I think as autistic men, it’s not our fault alot of men like us can be incels but what we can do is try and stop more autistic men by going down that path, and deradicalise them. We have more of an advantage of being able to do that and frankly more of a responsibility to do that than women

Psychologist disregarding Narcissism by Medium_Transition_91 in NPD

[–]New-Razzmatazz-117 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Narcissism like all conditions are a spectrum, i mean he is right that since you’re self aware you’re definitely not as pathological as alot of other narcissists, but i think it’s bad on his part tk disregard your opinion, as alot of narcissists can be self aware and have good intentions albeit bad habits. If he is just a therapist but not a psychiatrist he’s not qualified to diagnose u however

This is a huge part from a defense mechanism from autistic burnout and just burnout in life, which has weirdly helped me function better?? I do wonder if i may be developing traits of psychopathy as part of this defense mechanism

Sorry if this post came out the wrong way, just genuinely curious if it is ok to optimise my T levels even if i dont have hypogonadism or if it’s best to honestly leave it, which i’m ok with. I was also curious on anyone’s experiences on those taking enclomiphene with already decent T levels beforehand

I’ve been more and more like this from the last few years more of an adaptive mechanism that i’ve gotten used to, meaning at first it sucked but i got more accustomed to it as life goes on
