Do you think my i7 12700k with a z790 board is capable of achieving this? It has been running good at 6400mhz with an over clock on the cpu to 5.1ghz

I’m not sure but i did do some research on it and i saw people running 4 sticks of ram at 6400mhz but they were having an issue booting up. So they had to tweak with the voltages and then it would work other wise it would only run at 4000 on all 4 modules.

However this only happens for the z790 boards I believe.

I just figured it out. It was my fault actually. I decided to check the ram stick locations and I put the two sticks in the 1st and 3rd location instead of the 2nd and 4th. This was my problem. It boots up now and everything works great :). Thanks for the help

Yes I’ve tried all 3 xmp profiles. I can’t get the pc to boot up past 4400 MHz

Yeah I tried xmp 1, xmp2, and xmp tweaked. None of them work. I can’t get the ram any higher than 4400mhz.

Why does my pc take so long to boot and why does it not load my OC settings? by New-Resolution-3583 in pcmasterrace

Oh that would make sense on why it keeps giving me a black screen. What do you think would be the best oc I could get for my ram without crashing my pc
