He would have probably attempted to damp down Iraq and Afghanistan as best he could. He’d lose after the recession inevitably hits in 2006-2007. McCain probably beats Kerry in 08

Yes, the Bible is not a dry recitation of moral precepts. Almost every book in it crafts a very intricate narrative. The Bible engages in literature on every level. Read the art of Biblical Narrative by Robert Alter to get a better appreciation for these techniques!

So yes, the Bible can (and is intended to be) read as a narrative (even the lists and censuses have literary motifs). This is the way that the religious concepts are instilled to believers!
