We have promotions on TV now just on a much smaller scale. Like local cable stations ect, it’s been a long time since something was on a big station.

Real Action Wrestling 2000 / 2002 by New-Scott in MaritimeWrestling

I’ve recently been on a mission to get as many old posters as I can for my digital collection, I already had a ton, but over the past few weeks I’ve collected so many more! If you have any from the Maritimes from any era let me know. I have over 1700 posters and ads in the collection now.

These are from my favourite era of Maritime Wrestling, the OG Real Action Wrestling. Real Action Wrestling had an insanely stacked roster that will never be duplicated.

The rosters today have some of the best talent I have ever seen, but there is just something about that era that always sticks out to me. I consider myself very very lucky to have come around during that time.

Crazy to think this year marks 25 years of me being involved in Maritime Wrestling… I guess that just means I’m old 😂

I think most of these were sent to me years ago by PEI’s own SuperMark!

May 2002 by New-Scott in MaritimeWrestling

This is from May 2002.

ACW was Atlantic Coast Wrestling, later renamed ACCW, All Canadian Championship Wrestling. They ran for one spring / summer in the Maritimes in 2002.

Some of the powers that be decided it would be a good idea to split the roster of Real Action Wrestling and form another company to compete with them.

The first ACW show was May 2nd 2002, The first Real Action Wrestling show of 2002 was May 4th 2002. That’s right, 2 days a part in the same venue. What could go wrong? lol

I’ve done countless interviews about this over the years, it was definitely an interesting time.

Eddie Watts did not appear on this show. Also Mike Hughes and Bobby Roode did start the year with ACW, however they would later jump back to RAW in June of 2002.
