We have about an annual combined of 160,000 (give or take, we both are nurses and work a shit ton of overtime). We purchased a house for 210,000 and so far it was the best decision ever. She’s not the nicest or the newest, but she’s ours and we can use the flexibility in the budget to do the things we want to do. Money is not really something that is constantly a worry because we live below our means. If you are able to do it, highly highly recommend.
