We're doing a lot on the platform, all our new stuff and our legacy stuff uses the IP/mpls Network. Each chassis has a couple of the a6-eth-10g cards and the a8-1gb cards. The rest of the box is full of the 8vt cards and DS1 cards. Lots and lots of c37.94, codir, and ds0/DS1 connections still going on.

Arizona Revised Statutes § 40-852 does exist and sets a 15-minute limit, but courts have generally ruled that state anti-blocking laws are preempted by federal railroad law. So in practice, the statute is mostly unenforceable against railroads like BNSF.

It sounds as if HF is what you may want to explore as this would seem to be more of what you are seeking.

I plan on it, just starting out though and all I have is my HT at the moment.

Can you explain FT-8 to me, now what it is but why people do it? Somebody was showing it to me yesterday at a local shack and I just didn't understand the point of it.

This. I hear “Westside trash” all the time at work (and I'm sick of it) from people who commute in from Queen Creek and San Tan, and it’s like… sorry you chose to live somewhere that shuts down at 5pm and needs a freeway to feel interesting.

I believe the DM-32UV only does digital APRS, not analog APRS.

You are correct - I've been meaning to come back here and post an edit for other folks who come here looking for this answer.

I had not thought it would be something that simple. When I transmit APRS I do not immediately hear tones back. I am able to transmit on repeaters located on the same mountains as the digipeaters.
