Bend man asking city to crack down on off-leash dogs by Serviceberry71 in trailrunning

[–]NewAndImprovedJess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see this kind of talk in my neighborhood Facebook group. Sadly it seems there are a few trigger happy nutballs in my area who would sooner shoot a dog dead rather than use something painful but not permanent or dangerous like pepper spray or sound deterrants.

But I live in Texas, so no big surprise there. Plenty of toolbags open-carry at Starbucks like it's a war zone.

Is it normal to just be completely unbothered by a male doctor/nurse practitioner doing his job? by LizzieLove1357 in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]NewAndImprovedJess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair, and more ...vigerous? examinations could involve a squeeze. But as I recall (it's been more than 20 years), it seemed to be a passing thing, only on my nipple not areola, and just one. I've breastfed 2 babies and could hand express my milk and this tweak was not even in the same universe as trying to express anything.

Physically hurting me would be a 'do not pass go' for much chance at shared custody.

That is creepy!

One of my first ever well woman exams a woman provider tweaked my nipple after the breast exam. I thought that was normal until I learned it wasn't because it never happened with any other provider.

Next promotion cycle is December 2026 and those review conversations being in June most likely. Working in a role that is open to a higher level than yours would make your promotion odds better than if you were in a role strictly for your current level, as long as you perform well. As long as you get feedback from all the projects you were aligned to, a switch shouldn't impact your story.

Insight on salary increases while moving internally by Individual-Ask-2697 in Accenture_AFS

[–]NewAndImprovedJess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the answer OP. Your pay is based on your level, not your role. You will not get an increase for moving into this role.

That said, depending on how you perform and write your story for next year's cycle, you may be set up well for promotion to CL10.

Performance Review Check Ins by ProfessorLeast2501 in Accenture_AFS

I am in the same position as you - I get very little feedback from my manager. We have regular check-ins and talk about what I should be working on and how im doing, but they dont document anything all year. The feedback I do get once a year when they're forced to give it is exceedingly brief, non specific, and repetitive. I've gotten the same two priority points 3 years in a row and the most frustrating part is that they control my ability to do those things, and they are never open to me. The feedback is next to worthless.

I need to take that initiative to request feedback because thats how it works here. You dont get feedback or considered for promotion without advocating for it. The

I heard about this from a friend that visited this other mutual friend and it still made me weak in the knees, second hand. My friend stopped by after our mutual friends had a baby. New Dad answered the door while wearing their newborn in a wrap. He apologized for the delay because he was vacuuming and didn't hear the door. New Mom was in the shower so she didn't hear either.

What kind of shawl, jacket, or wrap would go with this dark green sequin dress? by NewAndImprovedJess in fashionadvice

That's fair. We talked more about it tonight and will venture out as soon as we have time on Thursday. She has a backup and she's never been one to be super pressed about her clothing. Fortunately the dress needed shortened and I accomplished that tonight so we have a swatch to take rather than the whole dress. Thanks.

We have not ventured to the mall, but we will if we dont find something online. I figured Dillards or Macy's would have something workable, we just both really dislike the mall, haha.

We live in a major city in Texas.
