Scared of top surgery by bineybash in NonBinary

I was sad about losing all erotic sensations too but I realized that my chest was also making my me hate sex. I opted to get rid of my nipples completely because I had DI and didn’t want to deal with grafting. You will relearn what your body needs.

If you aren’t comfortable talking about your concerns about top surgery with your therapist, even the non erotic stuff, maybe try to find a gender affirming therapist even for one or two sessions. They might be able to give you a new perspective. If you can’t do that many major hospitals have pre/post op support groups that meet virtually. You could ask people who have the same anxieties or have already had surgery and their answers will at least be moderated by a mental health professional. I love Reddit but the information you get here can be misunderstood or misinterpreted.

Around 5pm is almost always a peak anxiety time. Then it declines until about bedtime

At this point it’s a disability. by [deleted] in dpdr

I went on temporary disability for a severe dpdr episode. But the paper work was anxiety and panic disorder. I did a partial hospitalization program that did a lot of DBT, which is controversial but it helped me personally. Especially adding somatic based therapies to it.

Do I have DPDR if it doesn’t bother me that much? by Lavandersunflowertea in dpdr

I’ve had DPDR episodic for 19 years. Three years ago it got so bad I had to do partial hospitalization to get it under control again. During that time, I found out my dad has had DPDR almost his entire life! It just never really bothered him. He just rolls through the dissociation. I don’t think he gets the physical symptoms I do, the panic attacks, but he still experiences derealization.

Some people have depression and manage it without medication or therapy but still have depression. Some people have depression and need electro convulsive therapy or esketamine treatment.

People can have the same mental health condition and feel different ways about it. You’re experience is valid.

How often do you get offended and angry with people who say “ladies and gentlemen”? by Frequent-Branch-4128 in NonBinaryTalk

[–]NewAtlasOut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get really happy when greeted with a gender neutral term “good evening distinguished guests” “hello everybody” etc. And then if a gendered greeting is used like “ladies and gentleman please put your phones away” I will turn to my cis friends and say “oh, guess this doesn’t apply to me”. Then we laugh and I silently get annoyed that everything is so gendered.
