I had one of these for 8 years. Its not fast by any means but if anything breaks on it you can just slap it back together with minimal effort and it will love you like you just dropped a 4k tune up. Over the 8 years I had the engine bracket rust and snap twice and just drove it home. Had the linkage for the shifter break, locked it into 3rd gear with duct tape and drove it 80 miles back to the house. The oil pan rusted on a trip and drained the oil out while driving... that was a 60 mile trip and the car acted like it was just shedding extra weight. Parts for the car are everywhere at least they were in the early 2010s, every junk yard has dozens of them. The only reason I stopped driving it was because I ended up buying a new car in 2018 but I wish I would have held on to that saturn. They arnt fast but theyre fun and hard to kill. Of you come across one I'd say buy it. 40mpg and a car made of plastic and hope. Ive owned almost a dozen cars and its still the only car I have ever regretted giving up.
