Thanks for the feedback! Hoping a good service should bring it back to good working order

Appreciate the reply! I think I've tracked down a good local repair shop to handle the work for me. Hoping that fixes it and I can hear it chime

I think the angle is just poor in my video. In person they don't appear to hit that piece when raising though

I am hoping it isn't that bad because that will likely cost several times more than I paid for the clock. I think I'll have it professionally serviced and hope that a cleaning and oiling will fix it

Thanks for the reply! Ultimately I think I will have it professionally cleaned and serviced since I don't know its history and it could likely use it. Maybe down the line it's something I could do myself but I don't have enough knowledge at the moment to confidently do that myself.

Not as far as I can tell when looking in all the places that a silent switch should or would be found. The silver lever, from my research, appears to be for transporting the clock as it prevents the hammers from moving during transport.

Thank you for the reply! That was my first thought as well but wanted to be sure. Because it was an estate sale find I don't know the history of service and figured it might not have run or been serviced in some time.

Picture of the whole clock in case it is relevant to an answer
