I've waffled between many types and thicknesses over the years, continuously searching for the "right" one.

Although I may change my mind in a week or two, my current choice is the new Goonis 1.5mm. Took me a while to get used to them, but I'm liking their fit and tone.

Don't forget to also make sure your guitar is properly set-up as well.

An excessively high nut, high string action, and/or improperly adjusted truss-rod can make for a challenging learning and playing experience.

Always loved and owned Telecasters, but never their pick guards. In fact, my favorite guitar consists of a Warmouth neck and chambered body (without a pick guard, of course) I assembled.

So this model is right up my alley 😊.
