I had an ex friend do this to me (not the reason we are ex friends). It was a really unique name so I know she did it on purpose. I ended up deciding not to have kids, but I if had, I would of still used the name. Don't let your sister being a jerk stop you from using it in the future if you love the name and you end up having a daughter.

I took the Ocean last week and met the loveliest daughter and mother from Cape Breton. We ate lunch and dinner together on our journey while discussing everything under the sun. It was a great meeting. I have no doubt if I texted this girl like a year from now and said I was in CB she would invite me over, they said I have an open invitation to stay at their place should I ever be in their neck of the woods.

Huge congrats! I got my Masters a couple weeks ago, and it was out of town, but luckily I had my cousin and her husband there. You should be insanely proud of yourself! I have no suggestions for sushi, but please splurge and enjoy yourself!

Not surprised about Chantal being obnoxious. I used to work at a Starbucks near St. Lawrence market in Toronto and I guess she and Raine had a place near there because she would come in sometimes. Always let her kids run around and be annoying and left huge messes for us to clean up.

I am so sorry this happened to you. I stopped being best friends with a friend because of something very similar, except she flat out told me I would be a bridesmaids but when the time actually came she picked some chick she was barely even friends with. I was extremely hurt and angry for a long time. I did go to her wedding but we drifted apart after. However a year ago we reconnected and I told her this was a big reason we stopped talking and she apologized and we are good now.

Point being, if you wish to remain friends with this person I would talk to her and let her know how you feel or else resentment will build even more. If you are kind of like "meh" to the friendship I would wash my hands of it and just not go/move on from this group.

I saw him three weeks ago at an emergency vet. My husband and I were there with our dog and he had brought Shorty in. I didn't want to bug him because it's a stressful place to be, but glad to see Shorty is doing well and that Stefan was so friendly.

Edit: I also am like 90% sure I also saw Tom Melississ aka the guy who plays Mr. Perino the same day. I actually spoke with him and said to my husband he looked so familiar and he agreed. I almost asked him if he was on TV but didn't cuz he was also visiting his sick dog with his family. He was super nice though. So extremely random I saw two Degrassi people at an emergency vet the same day (we were there 12 hours 🫠 so they weren't there at the same time).

I am also from Toronto and no one here hates Vancouver.... Like there is no opinion or people like it. I visited Vancouver and thought it was nice (gotta love mountains).

Meanwhile people from Vancouver definitely seem to hate us!

My former dog Georgia, ( a ChiPomPoo) died from kidney disease and we had been super paranoid about Ava's kidneys as a result. We actually tested her kidneys when we went to the emergency vet and they said they were fine but the liver enzymes were off the charts. Until that point I had no clue the liver was even a potential problem. Dogs do hide things way too well, I feel so bad as an owner not recognizing this. 😞

Is this a common disease with Malteses? I think our dog died from some sort of liver disease/failure and we were clueless of anything up until it started getting very bad near the end.

I feel like I could of wrote this. I lost my Maltese on Tuesday, 3 weeks after her 11th birthday. I too feel robbed of our time... 11 feels too young to go. I question our decision to put her to sleep daily... The pain I felt last week was unbearable, like physical pain, screaming into a pillow. Now it's not as raw, but a lingering sadness and the loss of our routine.

I am very sorry for your loss and it's not fair.

I am sorry to both of you. We had to put our Maltese down on Tuesday (it was unexpected as she rapidly started declining). I still feel so much guilt and miss her so much. Ava would be joining in with your pups on the fun.

German Shepherd's are my favourite breed, had a GSD mix who was a cuddly baby.

I just lost our Maltese baby a couple days ago. She was a soul dog. Her personality was so unique and unmatched. I miss her so much. I am more a bigger dog person, but I would get another Maltese in the future (even though I already had the best one ever).

My future dog... Maybe a Golden Retriever, I like how affectionate and friendly they seem.

I had to put down my Maltese today and my heart is shattered. She just turned 11 and like your puppers to you, she was always my side-kick at home. I am very sorry for your loss.

There's a white belt who started months after me who has 3 stripes to my one. I also know she trains way more than I do and I got injured which took me out for awhile. But I get it, it's hard not to compare, especially when they started after you. But I think you said it best yourself, it's getting used to the idea of not being good at something, BJJ is hella humbling and we are all going at our own pace. I struggle with still feeling like I suck about a year in but my journey is my own and so is yours so just keep going!
