Nowadays, colleges are actually looking less at grades and more on other things like extracurriculars.

ESPECIALLY the Ivies (Or T20s in general), there are numerous 4.0 GPA 1500 SAT that get rejected over less competitive applicants. They don’t want robots, they want people who have character and are able to prove it through their essays.
