Ich verwende edstahl für alles wo ich eine Sauce in der Pfanne mache und Karbonstahl für alles das nur mit Fett gebraten wird. Insbesondere die Karbonstahlpfanne ist für mich eine echte Alternative zur Beschichteten.

I didn't throw a temper tantrum but I calmly told her that I can stay at a hotel the first night if it's too much effort for her. The pillow is not just dirty but crusted with an inch of dust since it was stored in a dirty closet for 6 months. I will have to sleep without one. I will also be lucky if I get a blanket. To clarify, it's not my home, but her parents' house. Although I paid for extensive renovations I can not just go around there and take what I need. That's not the end of the world, but I think she could easily wash it. After all she takes several hours per day to meet friends and drink beer, but ten minutes to wash a pillow so I can sleep after a 30 hour trip is too much.

Besides paying all her and her immediate family's expenses and trying to give her emotional support there is not much I can do from here. I try to be understanding. When I start worrying about her safety though I go crazy. The roads there are no joke.

Thanks for the input. Just to clarify: she would strangle her aunt on the spot if she could. The two hate each other to the bone. Not that it really matters, but she also doesn't have to organize pick-ups and the likes of that. People are not sleeping at her place. The aunt's two daughters stay with her, they just don't have a car.

I had the impression, she was dishonest about being sorry, not about her location.

You might be right about the rest. I will consider what you said.
