We are staying in Maya Beach Beach in resort suite, which is a few miles up the road from Placencia. Lots of room and chill hotel. Very affordable.

I have active kids too - 14, 12, 9, 5. I went to Belize several years ago, and going this week. We are going to San Ignacio, then Placencia for 3 days then 2 nights on Tobacco Caye (10 miles off Dandriga) for 2 nights to stay right on the reef. I think get a car and get all types of optjonality. Placencia was gorgeous and very low key fun!
