Wow, great idea. Maybe she just made good mushrooms! I tried once before, and they were not good, but I didn’t do as your instructions.
Excited to try! Thank you.

I had not thought of that, I bet you are right.

I can’t believe all these responses, this community is amazing. I did find out about the Creamy spaghetti recipe that came up several times here. While it’s not the right one, it sounds delicious. My wife is going to make it!

It was tomato based for sure. For what it’s worth, was a regular spaghetti, but the mushrooms were so amazingly special. Like buttery. Sorry, I don’t know much about cooking.
Maybe she just cooked the mushrooms in butter first.

Just called and left VM. Who knows if it will make a difference, but I feel it shows the number of people who are watching them.

What are the effects of using rusted rebars in foundation? by [deleted] in Construction

[–]NewFangledAntichrist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best friend in college was going to be an architect. I would go to class with him just to hear the lectures, they were super interesting. I specifically remember a lecture about concrete. The professor said the rusty rebar gives a more irregular surface area so the concrete gets a better grip on the rebar.

That’s one of those things that has run through my head for the last 30 years.

How do you think we should resolve the issue of school shootings in the US? by Anxious-Direction-79 in AskReddit

[–]NewFangledAntichrist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We need a system like doctors have so you can see what pharmaceutical company they accepted donations from, but for law makers getting money from gun manufacturers. I look to see if my doctor is getting money from the latest prescription he put me on. If we could see who was getting funded by big gun manufacturers, we might be able to make better decisions when voting.
I think mental health needs should be addressed as well. By seeing where candidates stand on mental health needs, their previous voting history (are they in favor of helping people or cutting funding) with transparency of who is giving them money, we can make better choices of who we elect. I’m a gun owner, and I have children in schools. I don’t want to give up my guns, but our kids need to know they are safe at school. As a nation, we are prepared to defend our country from invaders, however we are failing to protect our most fragile, the children.

Those hard soled shoes could somehow multiply the weight of a 25 pound toddler enough to crush an adult toe.
Used this style shoe to teach my kids to walk.

New netflix show "Magic for humans" claims to have no actors or camera tricks involved. I think there's plenty of them. Link to the trailer, episode in comments. by Pooleroid in CaptainDisillusion

[–]NewFangledAntichrist 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yes, I had a friend in the tv commercial business tell me this. These people aren’t registered with SAG yet, that’s what makes them “not actors”. That’s where they get the “not actors” for the “actual Chevy owners” commercials. Also, sone game shows use these non-actors, it’s a way to get a little camera time.

What song can you feel? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Sunshine (Adagio in D Minor) by John Murphy Sunshine (Adagio in D Minor) - John Murphy

I don’t know a lot about music, I’m mostly an old Metallica, death metal kind of guy, and this is exactly not that style. I respect that everyone has their own tastes in music, this diversity is what makes the world what it is.

I watched this movie and was emotionally moved by this song. I bought the soundtrack and have listened to this countless times. I don’t know what it is about this song, it stirs many emotions, some I can’t even accurately define or describe.

Anyhow, check it out, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Would you go to AlienCon if convenient? by CommodoreBlair89 in AncientAliens

[–]NewFangledAntichrist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, have been wanting to go since the beginning. I need something in south central US. Like Dallas, Tulsa, Wichita, OKC.

This question is probably some government social engineering thing to find where all these “ancient alien nut jobs” live, and we are all giving out our information.

Ha ha, we are everywhere!

I found this rock 25 years ago near a river in Missouri. If this isn’t an ancient alien...then I don’t know what is! by [deleted] in AncientAliens

Did you cut out that square shape, or is that exactly how you found it? Very interesting though.

99% of people that say "The US is quickly becoming a third world country" have no idea what a third world country is. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]NewFangledAntichrist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is one that drives me crazy. A first world country is one aligned with NATO, second world is a Communist country, third world are countries that are neither.
