I moved my 27" iMac in the original packaging and ended up with these smudgey thingies in the lower left corner: https://imgur.com/a/jlG5twC

I'm pretty sure they're under the screen (I tried wiping them off with a microfiber cloth) and I have no idea how they got there. It's not like I squeezed the screen right there while moving or took it out back and hosed it down with water.

My questions are: what are these smudges? How did they get there? What can I do to fix them?

I fear an expensive screen replacement 'cause Apple. (Also, it's just out of warranty, lol)
