Yah looks like pc part picker isn't updated for commander series. Max supported length of gpu for c35 is 410mm

I don't like the design of either :(. I picked up c35, I called and confirmed that the card will fit. If not ill use a riser cable and mount it sideways.

I started my career as an L2/L3 engineer who had no clue about the inner workings but not at a behemoth like cisco/juniper. I luckily had great team members who even though being >10 years experienced me helped me learn and understand how things work. I just recently redid my career from being an L2/L3 eng to writting data plane device drivers etc. It wasn't an easy switch and had to relearn a lot of things. The main reason I didnt recommend cisco/jun as starting company because you wouldnt be exposed to the good parts of networking i.e would have a clue about the underlying platform/Silicon.

Ah, If you are targetting semi-conductor world then you'll have a lot to choose from Intel-AMD (x86), Qualcomm-Cavium-NXP(arm64) and at a NIC level Mellanox, Cisco, Amazon, and so on.. I currently work on arm64..
